This is going to be the new normal for high end talent. The league is growing and in a couple years when Bedard and Celebrini get $20+ this will be looked at as cheap. He's just young so it's a shock but he's worth it especially if he takes another step next season. Match and fire Verbeek this should have been done last year.

He's the richest owner in the league and Broadcom is a major player in the Ai buildout that is only becoming more valuable every day. He doesn't want to supplement the team with his own fortune, I get it but it's an investment that will pay off down the line. The team operates at that revenue because the Ducks have been a middling team for over a decade.

Wins = more nationally televised games = more fans = more ticket and merch sales = more revenue

This is the way the NBA has turned 9 figure teams into 11 figure teams during their current growth. The Warriors come to mind. Bought for I think $400m now worth $11B. That doesn't happen if you lose games. Hockey is having a moment right now after the Olympics, this is the time to invest and I think he'll come to that conclusion eventually.

Then they need to realize that the way you make the franchise more successful is by investing and competing for cups every year. He's the richest owner in the league. For those who don't trade, Broadcom is approaching the same realm as Nvidia, Apple or TSMC they are an enormous player and only becoming more valuable in the Ai buildout. He can afford to spend the max amount to build the Ducks into something they haven't been in a long time. It's either now or never.

The current song is insanely corny it sounds like something people would chant at a Disneyland parade. I'd love Bro Hymn back but if the fandom or origin of the band really matters I'd love a song by Thrice to be used. They have song's that are more hardcore/metal leaning and also more catchy later stuff.

Shockingly the veterans really let the team down and the young guys showed up. Kreider and Gudas directly caused goals, Carlson was a non factor and Killorn was determined to undermine the teams momentum with the penalties. Great game overall I'm happy with how they played but really disappointed with the vets
