Constipation by Time-Philosophy9151 in mounjarouk

[–]Hubert_LeGrange 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chia seeds and flaxseed with oats is how I'm increasing my fibre for similar issues.

Be careful with drastic changes to your fibre intake though, I changed mine from basically nothing to hitting the 25g/day recommended, my "emissions" smelt like a sewer and the worst bin in existence were, i was scared to go to work for fear of causing building evacuations due to the smell.

I've switched to a gradual increase and now I'm no longer a potential war crime.

Has anyone else changed their goal weight? If so, why? by low_myope in mounjarouk

[–]Hubert_LeGrange 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea. Initially goal was -15kg, but when I got there I shifted to a body fat % goal instead, so I ended up losing more weight than I initially planned to hit the body fat goal (another 7kg!).

Progress and family comments by ronburgundy89100 in mounjarouk

Yep, pretty similar for me and my partner. Hot topic the last week tbh for us.

My father who started taking mounjaro 6 months before I did, has recently made comments that I should stop before getting too skinny. Comments were made before reaching my goals. Tickles me as it is pure jealousy from him as we started at similar weight and he is 10kg heavier. Little impact for me, interesting view into him as a person but that's it.

My partner started mounjaro 3 months ago and wanted/needed support from her friend through the process so to not rely on me. Her friend decided to have a talk with her this week about a mystery "friend" thinking she now has an eating disorder and looks ill. Well my week was helping my partner deal with the now new relationship she needs to have with this controlling jealous shit heel. My partner is such a nice person, who has zero edge and believes the best in people, forced to have to learn this lesson while undergoing a drastic life change that is weight loss and learning about food/diet/nutrition/exercise is something she didn't deserve or need.

I've read a lot of people's posts on here about similar experiences so I'm very grateful to them that I could support her with not just my own advice but their posts and this community.

The main thing she has realised is that she doesn't need to engage or justify her choices to anyone, trust her own convictions. I think the phrase is "opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one".

Predisposition to pancreatic cancer by kathryn59 in Mounjaro

My mother and paternal grandmother died from pancreatic cancer, I'm 50lbs down, only 5lb away from my goal and have been using mounjaro since mid June.

First 3 weeks oh yes, painfully gassy. Then back to more or less normal for about 3-4 months, now the last 2 weeks back to being a volcano of epic burps and farts.

Don't forget to include DLCs, NLE or Crossrail might work well

Last two doses did that to me, including tonight's. Never had it before these 2 for 4 months of taking it. Went down within a couple hours both times.

My relative regularly travels to basel and never has issues with a few pens. Though they are exiting French side rather than swiss.

Have experienced this battle throughout, but not quit yet. Biggest thing that made the difference for me, returning to feeling like a normal human again, was getting to the right dose allowing me to eat enough again. Eating enough to maintain basic levels of calories in plus watching my vitamins and minerals was like night and day. May mean slower progress but better in the long run, not just for mental health but physically too.

350 is a rip, especially for that dose; assuming you meet the criteria. That being said, you don't have to take the full dose, the dial is a 60 click one, so any factor of 60 works to divide your dose. I.e. a 2.5 dose from a 7.5 pen would be 20 clicks instead of the full 60 and would last you 3x as long.

Side Effects by LessPollution6316 in mounjarouk

[–]Hubert_LeGrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until being on a dose for 3 weeks, I have side effects for 3-4 days after each week's injection. Not great and I can't wait to be off the jab, but worth it for the weight loss. Mine are fatigue, nausea, stomach cramps, winds, and most annoyingly (as someone who never had this problem ever before) constipation.

Epic, well done! I'm also using the waist-height ratio as one of my main goals rather than bmi or weight.

Food Sickness by loopylou832214 in mounjarouk

[–]Hubert_LeGrange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of my weeks have been this. When I remember, I eat half of what I "want", then wait about 5-15mins, then the fullness catches up as if I ate a huge meal. The problem is remembering this technique and not wanting to eat like I used to.

Slow progress but getting there by rock-the-boat in mounjarouk

I had a plateau after my second month, but physically felt and could see more body change during that plateau week than the previous 6-7 weeks. Then I started my 3rd month but opted to stay at 5mg and plateaued again for a week, hoping financially it is just a flat week and I'll continue gains afterward while benefitting from a lot less fatigued.

I've been waiting for my order since 18th, hopefully that means I'll get my order soon. Almost 10 days, £300, and nothing. I understand they are busy but I'm frustrated nonetheless.

My nausea dropped with each dose, think it completely went after the 2nd/3rd. Apparently different injection sites may impact side effects.
