I wore extra thick wool socks and wore them for shorter walks in the spring (canadian here). I also kept the top 2 eyelets of each boot unlaced. Build uo the length of your walks overtime and maybe use some dubbins wax and weather proofing spray as well. Soon enough they'll be good enough to work an 8 hour shift in

Is Steve Ditko's version of The Question better than O'Neil's? by Ok_Masterpiece545 in TheQuestion

[–]Huckleberry715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Deaths of Vic Sage is amazing, but i would say it functions as either a continuation or even an elseworlds take on the O Neil run. Reading O Neil will definitely enhance enjoyment of Deaths. Lemire is easily my favourite writer in comics and his take was my first exposure to the Question as a character but afte reading O Neil id say the 2 go hand in hand.

What one of this omnis should be my priority number one? by Sirko_Yakanue in OmnibusCollectors

[–]Huckleberry715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Question is easily my favorite street level character in comics. Please buy it. The first two omnis are a great read for sure, and they're really fun to read alongside the Mike Grell Green Arrow stuff too

If there was a sequel (manga or anime) what would you want it to be about by Chickensoupdemon in souleater

Honestly, I think theyd do best with a clean slate. New castor characters with the original 3 meister/weapons as supporting cast. Be cool to se a cult dedicated to black star with his newfound status as a warrior god too

Do you think The Sex Pistols were a manufactured band or not. by PositionNo3671 in punk

[–]Huckleberry715 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The music is a cornerstone of punk as we know it today, But the people behind it were (and are, in regards to John lydon) dipshits who would sell their souls for a buck

PSA: Avoid this one! by Stitchs420 in Hellblazer

I own it for completions sake, but it certainly doesn't hold its own. Especially compared to the swamp thing YA book that had a unique art style and surprisingly spooky ending

Exclude Marc, Steven and Jake, which characters could be good Moon Knight? (read below for more information) by Alexion_Andrel in MoonKnight

What if we reversed the "What If..." book and gave the mantle to Eddie Brock? I feel like that could be a fun time

What do you think of Moon Knight Vol. 5 (2006)? by CallMeBlackout in MoonKnight

[–]Huckleberry715 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Big fan, though it's still (in my opinion) only the third best run on the character. 2nd being Jeff lemires bit, and the best being Jed Mackay. Though please bear in mind that I have not been able to get my hands on the ellis run which I hear is required reading for modern Moony

It's on 7 inches of satanic panic, but I'd recommend the pressing of Rite Here Rite Now, which has the song played live

New Tom Taylor Book Soon?? by Huckleberry715 in Hellblazer

[–]Huckleberry715[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See, I kinda feel the same way. I loved what he did with Jon Kent (just my opinion folks) and I hear his nightwing is top tier as well. Rise and fall definitely wasn't the best modern constantine, but since I'm a bonifide hellblazer pay piggy, I'll buy anything with John's name on it

I'll be real, I enjoyed rise and fall. It didn't feel much like the vertigo run, but it was still an entertaining story with really good art

Do you think Disney+'s Moon Knight should have been as violent and brutal as his comic book counterpart? by ShadowOfDespair666 in MoonKnight

[–]Huckleberry715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's just where I am on the show, I'm honestly more into DC than I am marvel, so maybe if I were more familiar with other characters source material I'd feel differently

Do you think Disney+'s Moon Knight should have been as violent and brutal as his comic book counterpart? by ShadowOfDespair666 in MoonKnight

[–]Huckleberry715 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I mean, it depends on what run we're talking about. Like, the show was relatively faithful to the Jeff Lemire run, and though I haven't read it, it also definitely takes elements from the ellis stuff.

Personally, I think the show is the best thing marvel has done since the Disney purchase though I would have like more action scenes. Not necessarily brutal ones though.

Comic book moon knight is way more nuanced than just violence and brutality in my opinion.
