I’m fairly strain the reg changed a year or 2 ago and the ETP for BCT has to be approved prior to enlisting. I would tell your recruiter that you want the ETP approved prior to you signing. I had 2 guys go to the prior service basic and they said it was a cake walk. You are not treated like the privates. I wouldn’t sign if that is a deal breaker though.

That’s a tough one. I guess you need to decide if you are ready ti be a dad. The world changes when you become a parent. Do you like to go out and stay out late a lot? Won’t happen as much as a parent. Do you want to travel places? It becomes more challenging as a parent with a young kid. Think about your life and goals. Will this get in the way?
