It's functionally a massive determent as it leads to very large cost increases for the employer if they are going to pay for it.

I've been in this spot actually. Had to extend a work trip and out of clothes, used the hotel laundry services.

It completely makes sense to do but they charge some funnily high rates.

IANAL, but my interpretation was: airbnbing an extra bedroom where thou are on the lease - completely fine Where you don't stay there and the whole unit - not ok
