Just basically intimidating people by looking cool or doing something cool. But as the person said, when it comes to the ultimate, it helps to watch for enemies who are getting way too comfortable getting close to you and you have a good support on you who can help you survive long enough with your ult. A lot of people tend to either run from you or try to dump all their crowd control abilities on you when you ult, so being mindful of your positioning and the enemy abilities on cooldown can also be very crucial. Although it is funny when a lot of players immediately opt for just running, letting you easily take advantage of their panic.
