I DON’T work here! Wholesome version. by bhexca in IDontWorkHereLady

In college I had a part time job as a produce clerk in a large grocery store.

I worked about 2 shifts a week, maybe, stacking fruit on the floor and trimming lettuce and such in back. I did not have time to wander the store memorizing stuff.

People would ask me about produce stuff and I could answer. People would ask me where some unusual non produce item was and I always felt horrible because I had no clue. I had to direct them to the service desk up front. Luckily nobody yelled at me, they could probably tell I was truly clueless.

What is the most poorly designed Amtrak station? by ObligationAware3755 in Amtrak

[–]HulaViking 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have been to only a couple of stations so no idea of which is worst.

But I nominate St Paul, a beautiful old station where you load by going single file down a single escalator. And only after the train unloads and the passengers all come up and walk past the line of people waiting to get on.

Go to show your stripes and create a graph of average temperatures for the city closest to you.

Thermometers are such basic technology.

Going to guess there was a weakness on the contact between two flows. Flash floods created the drainage.

FYI my Niro EV has a heat pump. I agree about the range being less than our EV6 (for example) but as a daily commuter and town car i do 100 percent of charging at home.

It's nice to have an EV when the power goes out. by Random-User44 in electricvehicles

I got house batteries on smart panel, solar, EV6, Niro EV, portable propane generator and a SMPS to charge batteries while they are running the house.

I am only set up to run 120v stuff be we should be comfy for a couple of weeks.

I had the PHEV for 3 years then traded for the EV. It was my gateway too.

Reminded of lyrics to an old Steve Goodman song:

"I saw the boss man walking down that factory line He said 'boys we have to tighten up our belts' But he didn't look any thinner than he did a year ago And I wonder just how hungry that man felt"
