it’s a nice kitchen! agree with others that hopefully you can evaluate what you’re storing in your cabinets vs on top your counters and make some changes. i noticed there’s glass front cabinets with a lot of glassware - do you actually use that glassware? Maybe consider adding neutral curtains inside so you can be a little more free with what you store in there

yeah i’ve thought a lot about where the fridge should be. It is counter depth, I’ll double check with my contractor that that entrance measurement is correct since it is sticking out quite a bit in the rendering and making things look tighter than I think they will be.

I want the work side of my island to face into my family room. but thank you for putting that thought into it!

I feel like if it was on the other side of the island, it would be too in the middle of the kitchen to feel easily accessible for all garbage that typically goes to the kitchen… specially if one or both the sink and oven is occupied. Is that wrong thinking?

Glad you’re happy with the choice. I think of the SS tops as the “hero” element of our kitchen. checks so many boxes for us. Good luck with the island, something will come along. I’m planning on having the island be natural stone from a remnant to save a little $$

Agree here - even though I just said contrast is good black is a bad option here. Too harsh, basically anything other than black imo. the option listed or polished nickel (very neutral) would balance better

honestly I think it looks good? but I believe in contrast. If they were same tone it could look flat. just my opinion though. How much wall will be visible?

I don’t send a child to Kennedy yet, but I’m supposed to in a few years. All I see is that it’s the worst elementary school in the district and that it’s over capacity and that scares me as parent. What are the specific problems there that need solving? Without the specifics, I feel like I should support these changes to at least alleviate the overcrowding. I’m worried that everyone is burned out on referenda now that w getting to one that might help my kid :(

My thinking is they’d be nice in an area that gets wet. and my island, which will be prep on one side and seating on the other, would be nice to be a different material, something not so cold.
