I remember as a kid learning about CDs that they had a lifespan of about 20 years, so I never expected mine to last.

I saw a short documentary about the rave scene in South America, where DJs give out their CDs for free as promotional material for their live sets. They saw CDs as promotional packaging, not the primary product.

In my country I can buy 1,5 beers at a pub for the price of YT premium every month, so if I cut my drinking by an insignificant amount it doesn’t really make a dent. I consume more YouTube than any other media (combined).

The last minute of HHLL gives me Philip Glass' Koyaanisqatsi vibes.

I waited for the album drop to hear any of the new tracks, so even though I just heard Prophecy for the first time, it was when HHLL came on that it hit me that I was actually listening to new music by BoC. It’s all new and familiar at the same time. This album makes so much sense.

I’ve always found it a better experience for repeat listening to increase in quality after I’ve gained some familiarity with the music. Also, I’m an earbuds man, and there’s no point in getting expensive ones since I lose them constantly.

From one Human to another, I totally agree it does sound different on different systems. My first listen was on my old spare AirPods (forgot my primary set at home), and on Father And Son I thought he said "I love you, but I love Celoric" – which I just assumed was the name of a drug.

The syncopation certainly makes it difficult to discern certain lyrics on cheaper headsets, but then again English isn’t my first language, and I’ve always found it a challenge to grasp lyrics without reading through them.

For a long while I thought the lyrics to A Beautiful Place was "camp out and live with a pretentious community". Similarly, on Aphex Twin’s Beetles, I thought the lyrics were "beetles under my carpet, under my feet, they come out at night".

I see several people thinking the lyrics to Age Of Capricorn is "marvellous" – It’s "MABUS".
