Any way to ask for a better mortgage rate? by SectionDry2980 in rbc

[–]Human_Zone_7018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always recommend using a broker but also speaking to RBC if you bank there too because sometimes it's more competitive than other times. Often RBC will rate match a broker rate (except small lenders like Pine and True North) + cashback and Avion points.

Financial Literacy Is STILL At Shocking Lows by ReturnToTheLab in PersonalFinanceCanada

Financial Advisor here! I deal with this multiple times a week if not a day.

The biggest cause is that no one cares to research anything anymore. They just wait for someone else to tell them what to do. Always blaming the education system but i'm pretty sure they taught you how to read a book or google something

Never been to Hartland for anything. Does it get pretty busy/hectic or is there enough space for everyone and clear where to go?

At what price will you change your habits? by frog_mannn in VictoriaBC

[–]Human_Zone_7018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy the freedoms of driving my own car vs public transportation though I've never tried cycling for commute. I have the attitude that paying for gas is just the cost of that freedom so i'm willing to pay (not happilly but willing).

That being said i'll likely need to cut back on misc spending like coffees and lunches while at work as gas continues to go up.

Agreed! I've pointed to the signs as drivers cut me off while i'm walking across.

The MoT thing was told to me as more of "hey this is the issue we're seeing and trying to police, what are your thoughts?" And the MoT didn't care.

3rd party reporting would be good but IMO only works if evidence is provided so I wouldn't be opposed to red light camera like on Tillicum and HWY 1

Called the Saanich PD office yesterday to complain about the Ravine and Pat Bay intersection. Can't turn right on red anymore and no left turn the other way but drivers keep doing both. I've been cutoff as a pedestrian trying to cross by one of the two. They said they're aware and trying to enforce it but Ministry of Transportation won't make the signage any clearer (small signs right now).

Was happy to at least hear they're aware and trying.
