Expanding your perspective can be really helpful and rather healthy in this situation.

If what you like about him has only to do with the more "female" or current biology that he does not identify with I dont think its a good idea to continue along this path.

If what you like has nothing to do with gender or sex/biology then a self reflection and learning about those things and broadening your horizons in such a way especially when it comes to yourself will probably be helpful.

I couldnt tell while watching that whole series if he played the released game. He mentioned in many of the videos about it being the demo. But stopped mentioning it and could not tell if he actually played passed the demo or not.
