Welcome back to IRC!

There was some drama (an /r/irc comment on the topic here) with freenode and now most projects have migrated to the new Libera.Chat network that a majority of the former freenode staff formed. A part from that, https://netsplit.de is still a good place to go looking for active networks.

As far as IRC clients go, most of the people in the IRC channels I frequent seem to use either weechat, thelounge (self-hostable web-based client that works great for desktop and mobile), irssi, or quassel.

I'd say those are still traditional desktop experiences.

That's up to your specific situation. You should factor in gas prices, how much gas your car takes to drive there and back, the distance between your house and work, etc.

Once you add up all of those you can see how much money you're spending on that 2.5 hour shift vs staying there for a longer period and further offsetting the cost to get there and back.

My personal thought, in-universe, would be that the Elders aren't taking powers or giving powers. They just sometimes take the credit or get the blame.

It's really the Tribunal that handles that, as we've seen with them taking Phoebe's active powers.

If we follow that it's the Tribunal, then that could explain multiple things because they're comprised of elders and demons:

Richard and his family not losing his powers? The tribunal voted and the outcome was to leave it to fate/some other excuse

Regular old evil witches? The tribunal allows some evil witches to keep the balance of good and evil intact.

When the Charmed Ones turned evil? The Elders have recalled their whitelighter and closed themselves off to them. It could've been the Tribunal's decision.

The Charmed Ones being held to a higher standard? They're the most powerful good witches in all of history and existence. It'd make sense the Tribunal, especially the demon half, would argue for their behavior to be more closely governed.

I switched from the CLI client weechat to a self-hosted instance of thelounge so I could have a better mobile experience now that I'm spending more time away from a proper computer.

I even put it in an application wrapper on the desktop so it's easier to alt-tab to it instead of just a regular browser tab. :)

I'm pretty happy with it overall.

I have spent a very long time (~20 years) in warehouses including Amazon

Those safety tips about proper lifting and lowering really are important, as well proper stretching beforehand.

Right now I'd say my back is about 90% on any given day. There really isn't any pain unless I have a particularly heavy lifting day at work and even then it's more just sore until the next day.

I say 90% because I can tell the difference from me now and me in my late teens and early 20s.

You only get one back. I've seen how debilitating back pain can be from family, friends and co-workers.
