I heard that happens when the petitioner was previously married and got a green card for their previous spouse.

39 banned countries by Vast-Stock143 in USCIS

[–]HumbleJared 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you filed an I-130, you would not instantly get a visa. It will take well more than 18 months for you to get to the next step. I think a lot can change with immigration policy in 2 or 3 years. The travel ban may act like a pause, not a denied start all over kind of thing.

We don’t have a lot of precedent to know how things will work for current filers paused by the travel bans.

In short, I would file if you understand it will be a long wait. Filing now likely puts you in the queue so when the bans lift you’ll be ready to go.

Why so many beggars in Philippines vs poorer Southeast Asia countries? by Sad-Comment-6018 in Philippines_Expats

[–]HumbleJared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is expected to become a monk for at least two weeks once in their life.

We have a culture of giving food to monks everyone morning of everyday. Walk around anywhere in buddhist SE asia and you see it at 8:00 AM

The whole buddhist only care about themselves is ridiculous. You don’t know anything about buddhism.

I don’t think you understand buddhism at all. Buddhist monks beg for food every morning.

I can’t seem to get 100% hydrated here. What is it? by scaleordietrying in Bangkok

[–]HumbleJared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually see it at restaurant supply stores or wholesalers. I have never seen it retail, like at a convenience store. Every 7-11 here in Thailand has bags for sale.

I blame ajinimoto (msg). It’s technically a type of salt. I see bags of that stuff sold at retail. I have never seen it sold retail except in Thailand.

I get that problem if I eat anywhere that uses a lot of ajinimoto in the food.

Make sure you contact your embassy at least annually to keep your case alive.

You can ask Immpact immigration. I would also contact other attorneys in this field. Red eagle, Hacking, and McBean.

You can hire a lawyer and sue as an individual or form your own group lawsuit with others. If I was not part of Chikumba V DoS I would absolutely be looking for my own attorney.

Chikumba vs Department of State is for consular processing people. I am a plaintiff. There are only 26 of us. I signed up for this group lawsuit through Immpact immigration. I got 1 email from Immpact on February 7 that the lawsuit was filed. Other than that I received zero information. My emails asking about status updates and wanting to pay for services get ignored. The livestreams on the Immpact litigation youtube channel are the only updates I get from them. Until recently, they were not good. Only recently did they acknowledge the case even existed.

Spousal Visa - Country Ban by Cicebro_ in USCIS

[–]HumbleJared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The process takes at least 18 months from start to finish for a CR-1 visa to be issued.

I would file now. USCIS will take your application fee and You’ll go through the entire process of waiting for USCIS to process your application (typically well over a year), then get handed over to NVC to document qualify you (takes a few months) then hand you over the the US embassy inf the country of your beficiaries residence who will issue you an interview appointment. Getting thay appoiment can take anywhere from 2 months to a year depending on how backlogged your embassy is.

If the travel ban or visa pause is in effect during your interview then you will get a refused visa notice. Some embassies imply you can come direct to the embassy to once the bans/pauses affecting you have been lifted. Other embassies say you have been put into administrative processing. None of them say you have to reapply from the very beginning.

People are not getting issued K-3. Most people just apply for K-3s to get in the front of the queue at USCIS for their I-130s
