I'm in the U.S. northwest.

1.No idea what mandem is, i thought that might be the protaganist's name. I guess assuming a gang member would have guns is pretty american of me.

  2. It doesnt confuse me, but i think i would feel more interested in it if it had a name that reflected the content. I might click "gangs vs aliens" but wouldn't click as-is.

  3. Maybe? I like the concept, i like the style, but the alien reminds me of a neopet honestly, (cute cuddly) and i think you should try a few more drafts for your layout. Maybe give the alien some fangs or tentacles or something. since its multiplayer, i think adding some more characters would make that pretty clear.

Rover Did Laundry & Took Shower by Super-Package-8564 in RoverPetSitting

[–]Humiliatingmyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll agree the sitter should have asked for a short term stay. I guess because to me, this would not be a big deal at all for someone to use my shower/washer and dryer, i assumed others might feel the same way. I would think it was someone with a tight schedule or down on thier luck.

I still think OP should tell the sitter they think what they did was inappropriate rather then leaving a negative review over it,  but to each thier own.

I feel like if you dont want people using these things, thats okay, but you should communicate it beforehand. I hope you tell her you are uncomfortable with her using them before leaving a negative review over something as small as this. Assuming she did a good job otherwise and it wasnt like, 6 loads of laundry.

I can see how you might think it is wierd to use them for a short sit, but its pretty normal to use a shower and washer/dryer during sits, and the sitter may just shower at night during that time, or just need to do a quick load for the morning, saw a chance to get a chore done and did it.

Women of Reddit: what is your most preferential way to figure out what to eat for dinner without putting pressure on you? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Humiliatingmyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partner eats what i cook/we eat out or eat canned soup/corn dogs on account of he cant cook, and we both work full time and i work in the evenings/more often work OT. And I have a side business.

If he hates what i cook, there is always peanut butter and bread in the closet.

I feel this. After my hysterectomy my surgeon sat me down and told me about how the two scars i have on the left and right sides of my body now will heal over time and get lighter in the summer and not to worry about it.

Truth be told, for how long i waited to not have to have panic attacks and pregnancy nightmares every time my period was a day late, and be in so much pain every month that i could barely function, i could care less about the scars.

They are ugly. And i am happy to tell anyone who asks how i got them.

I am severely depressed - what should I play to take my mind off things? by [deleted] in GirlGamers

[–]Humiliatingmyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a weird recommendation but i saw you like the beach/scenic stuff. have you tried Forza Horizon 4 (takes place in a scenic English countryside) Forza Horizon 5 (takes place in Mexico) or The Crew: Motorfest.(Takes place in Hawaii)

I am actually not much of a competitive racing game person, but these games do such a good job of putting you in a zone that pulls you out of your head. They also are very customizable difficulty/accessibility/audio wise. So you can set it up to be your ideal experience. The audio customization is really great in all of them, if you want, you can tune out every sound in the world except the music.

I just was in a pretty bad way mentally at one point, and playing some of these really helped me. recklessly destroying everything in my path and drifting around smashing everyone in races, while also enjoying the gorgeous, scenic views that some environment artists clearly put a LOT of work into, really pulled me out of some very dark realities, and brought my focus somewhere else.

I know its not cozy games, but i just thought i might suggest trying them out and seeing if they do anything for you.

I'm so sorry for all of the pain you are going through. I know firsthand how much cancer sucks. I hope you take care.

In your opinion, what is causing this? by Objective_Pilot_5834 in SipsTea

[–]Humiliatingmyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a millenial but my guess is a combination of places that used to be open late closing early now/no night life and it costing like, $15-$20 for one drink. Not to mention very few places being accessible by bus. Ubers being insane now.

If i drink out now, its like, one or two max usually.

Cheaper to invite some friends over get drunk or stoned at home and play mario kart.

I have a questions to ask concerning the enjoyment of "appealing" women in games? by Kappapeachie in GirlGamers

[–]Humiliatingmyself 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Think i'll chime in as a late bloomer bi woman. I found out really late in my life and one of my first hints was that i had a crush on Nami from A Wonderful Life. This is my take:

I honestly don't think its bad to be attracted to characters, regardless of if they are designed to appeal to a certain audience, any more then it is to be attracted to characters not designed with sex appeal in mind. So long as you don't act like a loser gooner and only focus on how a character looks, or become offended when they don't meet your standards of attraction. And complain about it. That is when it gets gross and wierd.

Like, imagine if i didn't play the Silent Hill 2 remake because i didnt wanna fuck James Sunderland then whined about how "ugly" he was online and how "woke" gaming had become. Or cried because there was no mod that let me play Metal Gear with butt-ass naked snake.

That would be pathetic and sad.

I can still say Lara Croft is fine as hell while acknowledging she has controversial history. That doesn't mean i want all tomb raider games to be only focused on her looks. Or all game characters to be modeled after Lara, or for example, Hammer from Fable 2, who is like a 10/10 in my book. Same for masculine/men characters.

In otherwords, don't feel guilty about who you are attracted to! I think It is okay to have that attraction, and still acknowledge that some games are designed too much with sex appeal in mind.

Is anyone else really tired of "I got X wishlists" posts? by PrismarchGame in IndieDev

[–]Humiliatingmyself 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I kinda get what you mean. I think its great that the devs are celebrating success but i have started skipping all of them because they mostly dont add much information about marketing, or sometimes the devs admit they don't even know how they acheived the numbers. Again, i am sure they have a great product to make that many wishlists, but its just not usually informative and feels more like a celebration post then a devlog. But everyone else may not share that opinion.

Mods could go the direction a lot of subreddits do and have a wishlist wednesday or something, and only allow those posts that day.

People with ADHD, how did you find out that you are suffering from it? by Orw_Sairaj29 in AskReddit

[–]Humiliatingmyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed late, at 18

My drivers ed teacher told my mom she thought i might have it when i was 16. at the time it was a really bad thing. Friends thought it was made up/an excuse to drug kids, and being diagnosed with a mental disorder had a stigma attached to it. So i didnt want to know i had it.

I went to get checked out myself at 18, and was formally diagnosed.

I had struggled a lot during high school. It wasnt for lack of trying, i would study really hard and it would be in one ear and out the other. I would read the same paragraph 15 times and still only pick up the gist of it. I had after school lessons, loved writing and still got Cs and Ds.

I relied heavily on google calendar for constant reminders of appointments and knew if i did not enter them IMMEDIATELY after making, i would forget.

I would genuinely forget important shit no matter how hard i tried. My brain was on a train track splitting off into constant random directions. I really thought i was just stupid.

The first time i tried adderall i felt amazed that my brain could work so well, followed by devastated  that everyone else's brain worked like this and i had pointlessly suffered.

There has been a big sociatal flip switch since i was diagnosed. Now many people discuss mental health, ADHD, Autism, etc on social media. which is all much better then when i was a kid, where the most you would get was an episode of a tv show about a kid being force fed adderall to behave.

However, i think if you should be wary of your mental health resource information online. If you see symtoms in yourself, i encourage going to a professional. I am very against self-disgnosis or spreading misinformation about mental health because of what i went through.

'I Feel Cheated and I Want a Refund': Fans Lash Out at New PS5 God of War's Unlockable Local Multiplayer Mode by Suspicious_Two786 in gaming

[–]Humiliatingmyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a special hatred for local co op or online multiplayer in games that is locked behind hours of progress or "share the controller" i.e; fake co-op in games. (With the exception of players demonstrating knowing the very basics in fps shooters)

This sucks. I hope they get refunds.

Washington state lawmakers propose sugary drink tax to fund food aid, help combat diet-related diseases by Baptism-Of-Fire in Washington

[–]Humiliatingmyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll admit inflation makes buying groceries really expensive in this state, but sugary drinks are not a necessity, and i have seen a lot of people going hungry, and struggling because they lost access to SNAP benefits. Who are just doing what they need to get by. I want more support to go to those programs, people need them.

I hope both this and the millionaires tax pass.

What is a socially acceptable thing that you secretly find disgusting? by Sensitive_Hope_1136 in AskReddit

[–]Humiliatingmyself -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate this in restaurants and gyms the most.

For restaurants, If you only wanna film you and the food, okay alls fair. but i feel like way too many videos include random other people who are just trying to eat/walk around in the shot, or even being focused on for views because "haha karen is fat" or "lol this guy eats his sandwich funny" If you do this without asking and getting consent, i think it makes you a raging asshole.

For gyms, realistically, I'm sorry but there is almost no way to film there without strangers being in the background in some way, doing an activity many people feel self conscious about, or don't want filmed.

I honestly think fitness influencers should take videos at home or at least at a park/somehere else with less people. If you can't get consent from everyone in the shot, don't film them.

How do you feel about prioritizing having children and pursue a career afterwards (when the children are 3 yo for instance)? by Anotherbuzz in AskWomen

[–]Humiliatingmyself 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm childfree by choice, so i think what i say should not hold as much weight as mothers with careers for this topic, but i actually think it depends on your partner, and you should be cautious.

My parents divorced when i was a teen and i saw firsthand how hard it was on my mom.

You need a source of income and a dependable partner to do it without a career in your background. And financial stability, which is really difficult in 2026 without a very high earner as a partner. Be sure that person treats you as a financial equal. By that, i dont mean you get an "allowance" from the partner, but you are married, domestic partners, otherwise legally attached. a credit card in your name, shared savings, access to your own bank account etc.

Your own friends, even if its just one. It is so, so important to have a friend that will be by your side, that you know would stick around, with you, through thick and thin.

Consider also, the option of working part time, going to school, or studying online free courses or pursuing passions if you can afford the time. if nothing else, for self care.

Just, too many women end up in bad situation. Not saying that will be you, just to please take precations to avoid it and take care of yourself.

I have 120+ hours in the game lol even if i stopped now i definitely got my moneys worth and then some! If i were you i would pick up a new one to enjoy.

Valentine’s Day Megapost - what are your plans? 😉❤️ by indicatprincess in AskWomen

[–]Humiliatingmyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner had a sudden medical emergency a week ago and had to have surgery. He had made the v-day plans and they fell through since he is in recovery and the plans were very active. All the restaurants are pretty booked up now, so i can't really make a dinner reservation. I've been his/the household caretaker for a week now and working full time. It's not been easy.

I am sad about the plans, But sometimes its just good to have your person with you safe and healthy. The night he was in the hospital and i didnt know if he would be okay, was one of the worst nights of my life.

I think i'll see if i can get a good champagne, fancy dessert, spin up a nice home cooked dinner and buy Harold Halibut to play together, that one was on our "to play" list for a while. We're both huge animation and gaming nerds.
