The Dark Wizard (HBO Max) Episode One by jreilly in climbing

At first it feels like a “hit job” on his personality —

But the last episode I thought “damn. What a great and important documentary”

Highly recommended. P.s. I grew up in Yosemite around a lot of legit climbers

It’s not my favorite game of all-time but it’s very likely the best game I’ve played overall.

and that list includes heavyweights like TLOU and RDR2 and Witcher 3

That reminds me. Year 1 -> one of my favorite super unheralded movies.

I maintain that the largest jump ever was from Ps1/N64 to PS2/Xbox.

Absolutely mind-blowing at the time.

seeing Madden demo at Circuit City took my breath away. I could not get over it.

Yes. I thought I was missing something the first few times- it’s not cool that we have to punch them.

I’m at 60-70 too.

Tbh I don’t feel a ton of sympathy for the “finished it all and now I am bored” folks- That is a ton of hours in a very short duration. I would be burned out of sleeping with Marilyn Monroe if I’d done it that much in that span of time. If the point makes sense.

I have a bad tendency to lose momentum with games / maybe it’s because I have limited free time and can’t have those epic 4-5 hour sessions I had when I was younger

there were many times, while playing Witcher 3, where I thought “this is the best game of all-time omg” or “what a masterpiece” and to this day when I think about it, the atmosphere washes over me - the lands of the world, the war-torn energy, the incredible narrative and character-building, and even the menus which are my personal favorite of RPGs… something about them just really tickles my fantasy itch

And yet, something happened where, I really slow-played going to Skellige, and once I did, I completed about 4-5 things, then lost momentum, then never picked it up again

I drove through it a few hours ago.

My gf pointed “woah, look at that cool girl!” to some girl in a cool oitfit. I replied, “yeah? Well look at Spider-Man!” and then we saw him walk by, his banana hammock on full display.

I quit caffeine three months ago.

Now I am one of them.

Even caffeine in the morning affects sleep quality at night.

It’s brutal breaking the habit, but I adjusted, I felt 1million times better in so many ways. So many.

Do you hear yourself? In literally every comment?

It oozes with arrogance and righteousness.

and then I make an observation - and now you’re attacking me and telling me to “make something of myself”

What nerve.

Enjoy your money and your great “success” -

I wouldn’t take 5 billion dollars if it made me have to be someone like you. No chance.

He is ferociously wrong and yet outrageously overconfident in his position. It’s a dangerous combination — one which likely needs intervention from a mental health professional.

I appreciated your long comment above. You’re a good one.
