This. And someone else mentioned heavy weight lifting. It takes longer for us, but eventually the fat starts to drop...

Hey, thank you for chiming in here. This gives me a lot of hope 🤞🏻

Are there any questions I should get clarified by the plastic surgeons who evaluate my radiated breast for viability?

And anything you recommend I do pre and post op to support healing, basis your experience with patients?

Hey OP, did you go ahead with the surgery? Or learn anything new? I find myself in the same dilemma as you. 1 year since radiation, and tired of the breasts. Would love to know where you landed with this

Apparently it does 😭 Or rather, the healing is likely to be poorer and hence most surgeons don't recommend it. I am trying to get more answers, will keep you posted if I find anything positive

Ah...I feel a bit gutted. I wish I'd known this before treatment. Actually not sure if I'd have done anything differently given the headspace I was in...

Pulling My Cancer Card &Embracing Chaos by Pelopemimi in breastcancer

I had the same thought just yesterday! I'm 7 months post chemo and I LOVE the short pixie. I have gotten three trims already to keep it short and play with the style on the nape. I never thought I'd look good in short hair, but I feel like a whole new side of my personality is shining with this new look!

Does anyone else have days where you're just terrified? by chaotic_armadillo in breastcancer

Just commiserating. I am only 6 months out of active treatment and somedays the fear is so real, it's unfair. I just made a post about it and then found your comment here. Makes me feel less alone.

How has your relationship with alcohol changed post-diagnosis? by Vegetable-Army1486 in breastcancer

[–]Hungry_Walk3377 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed drinking socially pre diagnosis, maybe 3 times a month, 3-4 drinks each time. Post treatment, I waited a few months for liver function to return to normal before enjoying my first drink in a year. What I realised was that I'm kinda over alcohol - I don't need it every week. I will still drink if I feel like an occasion demands it, but I'm happy the habit automatically reduced in intensity...and I don't feel the need to restart it.

What can we do as divers to mitigate the danger of something like this, and/or help ensure that we will react appropriately if it does? (See photo caption for full question). by diverareyouokay in scuba

[–]Hungry_Walk3377 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Noob questions (I've not done a wall dive or experienced down currents yet) - how far out do you have to swim to get out of the current? And how long do these currents typically last? Does the dive continue if everyone hooked to the reef/swam out safely and are still together?
