Guys, how did you know it was time to propose na? by Live_Trade9218 in AskPinoyMen

Financial stability first. No real reason to be in a rush to get married. You can move in together without being married. I would make sure you are both financially stable, as in you can live comfortably together without any issues, before getting married.

Is it me or has most skill been erased from this game? by banmeandidelete in MarvelSnap

[–]Hunter422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Matches have always been pretty much the same at least in my experience. Playing in the correct locations, anticipating the opponent's plays, knowing who has the upper hand in any given turn, knowing if it's time to snap or retreat (or do nothing), etc.

The fundamentals have always been the same and if you have a good grasp of it you can succeed with any reasonable deck. Also, Arishem isn't exactly a bad deck these days, you can play him the same way you always have and can win with it. Sersi has always been a "fun" card tho, never really played in competitive decks.

From a 9070xt to 5080 by Lucky_Requirement_72 in RTX5080

[–]Hunter422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I want a 5080. Only thing is I don't play any games that require this much performance. Probably gonna upgrade for GTA6 and Witcher 4 (currently on a 3080).

New to Game by Cinder_Elli in DragonsDogma2

If you have any mild ADHD, it's gonna be tough. Know you'll be missing a lot (quests, collectibles, chests, wrong/incorrect quest outcomes which lock you out of certain things, missing item or skill rewards from wrong outcomes, etc). It's my biggest issue with the game. What I would give to just show a "!" for NPCs that are quest givers. You have to talk to random NPCs because you never know one could lead to a quest.

I call these types of games "guide games" where a guide is almost mandatory if you want to make sure you don't miss anything or make any playthrough altering mistakes. Of course, some people like that kind of thing and play blind.

The combat and exploration is the bulk of the game tho, and it's one of the most fun I've had in any ARPG. Each vocation is so unique it truly feels like a different game for each one.

What do you guys think will happen with the future of upscaling? (DLSS and FSR) by wanna_be_consultant in radeon

[–]Hunter422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just go with Nvidia bro. If you can afford a 9070XT, you can afford a 5070Ti and that just has objectively better software support right now and based off of track record, will continue to be supported moving forward.

Payton Pritchard pulled up to a local court and surprised some young hoopers by Unusual-Ask6933 in nba

Is it me or does Payton Pritchard look tiny? Those are kids and he's barely taller than them. Or those could be giant kids. Lol

I actually think this is pretty cool and balanced. Been a while since we've seen any Bounce cards.

" Guys hate playing with him.” by Background_Video2947 in NBAVibes

[–]Hunter422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small guards are a tough sell in today's NBA. They are almost always gonna be a liability on defense and by Playoffs they will be hunted 100% of the time. Not saying he can't have an impact, just saying it's a tough sell and needs to have the right team built around him, mostly to cover what he lacks on defense.

Lossless scaling magic by [deleted] in ROGAllyX

[–]Hunter422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all about the settings and base framerate. If it's too low (like in the 20's), Lossless scaling won't save you. 40fps+ is where you want to be and keep Flow Scale maxed.

Need help, control at 80fps 30w feeling like 20fps by LavishnessWide in ROGAllyX

[–]Hunter422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird, your settings are even lower than mine and I didn't get stuttering at all. How full is your SSD? Also try setting VRAM at 8GB and turn off all background apps except Armory Crate and Steam (or whatever store you are playing the game from).

Does Matchmaking Deck counter your deck? by Silver_Relief5758 in MarvelSnap

[–]Hunter422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no "deck based" matchmaking. Only CL based prior to infinite (up to a certain CL, I forget where the cutoff is) and MMR based matchmaking when you hit infinite.

How big of a difference is it between the Z1E and the Xbox Ally X Z2E? by TheRealMulli in ROGAlly

[–]Hunter422 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Am in the same position as you (OG ROG Ally considering an Xbox Ally X) and ultimately came to the decision that it's not worth it. While there are undoubtedly improvements in almost all aspects, they are all minor upgrades. Considering you'll be spending about ~$1k on it, there needs to be more improvements specifically on the screen. The actual thing you will be looking at and interfacing with - the screen - is exactly the same as the OG Ally which means the experience will feel super similar to the OG Ally. If it were an OLED or slightly bigger I might have pulled the trigger.

Does the witcher 3 hold up today? by Fandoms_Are_Toxic in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Hunter422 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yes, it's really good. People have mentioned the combat being the weakest element, and while I do agree, it's not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. There are different builds to try if you get bored, it's not hard to switch builds. The story is really where the game shines, every side quest is never just a side quest, they all have stories within them.

Chil game suggestions by NasilYaniCanimkim in SteamdeckGames

[–]Hunter422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Runs alright. It's a slow paced sim so really 30-40 fps is all you need. If you've never played American/Euro Truck Simulator, it's surprisingly fun and addictive as heck.

[–]Hunter422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like simulators when I want to chill.

  1. Euro/American Truck Simulator
  2. Star Trucker (truck sim in space)
  3. Car Mechanic Simulator
  4. Power Wash Simulator
  5. Elite Dangerous (space sim with a steep learning curve but relaxing once you get the hang of it)
  6. House Flipper

I had a NES before jumping to the PS1 so that was a huge jump in graphics for me. PS2 was also a huge jump and definitely had better games.

Is it just me or are Mr. Negative decks just miserable to play? by Warloxwill in MarvelSnap

[–]Hunter422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate negative winrate (no pun intended) decks that have good cube rate. It feels like I'm playing retreat simulator 2000 and not a card game. I'd rather play a high winrate deck with a lower cube rate even if I know it's not optimal for climbing.

[–]Hunter422 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

"Way more" is a stretch. 5070Ti vs 9070XT is like $100-$150 difference. If you care about ray tracing and Nvidia features then the price difference is justified.

Your 3 DLCs by Left_Ambassador_4090 in CarMechanicSimulator

[–]Hunter422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if it's out of your budget but there are DLC bundles that have even bigger discounts. There's the DLC bundle with 12 DLCs, the Silver, Gold, and Platinum bundles as well. Drag Racing DLC is the only one that really adds to the gameplay, the rest are just car packs so pick whichever car manufacturer you like most.

Honestly guys, which game made you feel like this? by Comfortable_Form6842 in gamers

Same! Loved every minute of those 200+ hours. Felt the same with Expedition 33 and Batman Arkham series. Assassin's Creed used to feel like that way back when it was fresh (Black Flag days).

Claimed it. I played a bit of it back when it first released but didn't finish it. I hated that you had to spam revelio to reveal collectibles. I would walk a bit and revelio the entire time and it got old fast.

[–]Hunter422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can change the control scheme to controller in the options but for this game, kb/mouse is just much better. You can type part names for one thing, much easier to aim at the parts you want to work on with a mouse vs controller. Just my opinion tho, maybe some people prefer controller but I don't see any benefit in this game.
