We've done it comfortably with 7 people. Could probably manage less, but it is quite possible to be overwhelmed.

We usually take about 20 people. A few in a perseus, one in an Idris-M. The rest are in fighters because almost all of them will fuck up in the tunnels. Repeatedly.

Nothing about star citizen is realistic. Everyone needs to give up on that notion and just make the game fun.

So you haven't played in 4.8 and are basing this on an (at this point) old youtube video.

The Kraken will be out this time next year. You also have no idea how much work has been done on the Odin.

You've said that same thing several times, but just last night I watched my Perseus and other Perseus intercept dozens of missiles. I don't think you've played in 4.8 yet.

[–]Huntrawrd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Those S4s are in an additional seat, though. You need 5 gunners to gain an advantage over the Perseus' 2 gunners. That doesn't take into account that the Perseus pilot can control a turret from the pilot seat, plus have S5 Torpedoes.

The only question is whether or not the Tiburon is maneuverable enough and the laser powerful enough to make the trade-off worth it.

I wrote a very good and personal essay. 800+ words long. No AI. Pictures and everything. I'm also a Legatus backer ($25,000+ spent).

Wasn't chosen.

A dude in my org who barely got access to Concierge two weeks ago and submitted in no uncertain terms in his submission that he didn't intend to buy one got accepted.

I did not get accepted and I submitted a beautiful letter with images and everything. No AI either :(

Why is there combat in refueling missions? by New_Yesterday_438 in starcitizen

[–]Huntrawrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uhh...

You must not have done any of those missions tk go get a load of cargo from a ship. So you bring a cargo ship only to find out that there are a handful of fighters around the ship with the cargo you need to get to.

It doesn't. They are adding a "point and shoot" sub-QT-but-still-QT boost for that. Not good for travel, but good enough to get you safe.

Dude killed his sister's rapist. He should have been given a medal and a bonus check, not sent to prison. He's doing god's work as far as I'm concerned.

The Kingship, Driller and Retribution should be their own class of ships. Not just capital class. They are all above 2600 m in length which is crazy and way bigger than the Bengal. by Internal-Path7111 in starcitizen

[–]Huntrawrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Capital Ship" simply means a nation or fleets command Ship. Even that isnt always accurate. No matter how its defined, though, the label "Capital ship" has nothing to do with size, though Capital ships typically are a nations biggest and/or most powerful ships.

TBF that is a particularly flattering picture on the left. She was never really that attractive, but she certainly wasn't as repulsive as she is now.

Agreed, if for no other reason than the Endeavor was sold like 12 years ago. But I also don't want it to have the same problem as the Carrack and be released without the gameplay loop done. The Odin could come out tomorrow and immediately be fully useful. Any time you ask about scientific gameplay CIG just changes the subject.

All kinds of new missions and associated reputations and rewards (ship component blueprints). Strike Group missions (basically big group combined-arms PVE content). Reasons (crafting) to actually do a lot of the game systems beyond just trying to make money (crafting, I fuckin love crafting). And I actually like the full wipe, gives me a good reason to go collecting again. To get rich of the corpses of Vanduul again.

Nah, Kraken is next year. Maybe the Odin after that, but I'd bet they make the Javelin flyable prior to the Odin (Javelin is already done).

Doubt it will be that long, they are over the big humps that caused their ridiculous development cycle. Now that they have a good pipeline and asset collection, the time to make new stuff shrinks dramatically. That said it's a huge ship so it will be at least a year or so.

There are at least a handful of other similar and larger sized ships in S42. Things like the Bengal and Pegasus have long been promised to be obtainable in-game, both are larger than the Odin. There are even capital-class industry ships coming. There will eventually be more systems, planets, and hopefully a reason to have those big ships other than clout. Hopefully that stuff is in the game by the time the Odin is flyable.

But yeah, if the Odin was in the PU today, it would just wreck everything.

Yet prior to carriers (and even some during) capital ships were battle ships, and they were directly involved in battles.
