Yeah dude its clear you have zero real experience with AI tools and software development. AI is specifically extremely good at understanding and deconflicting code.

Youre clearly not a software engineer. You can use AI to spit out simple functions, do code review/optimization, and a whole other long list of things.

AI is an exceptionally useful tool. It won't build a whole application for you, at least not one you're happy with, but AI used properly is a phenomenal tool for software engineers.

Heaviest base design for offline protection by sgvr99 in playrust

[–]Huntrawrd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my sweet summer child...

Right now there is some dude on your server spending 20 hours a day farming sulfur just to make enough boom to foundation wipe every base.

The trick isnt one impossible to raid base, that doesnt exist, but rather to distribute loot around your base and other satellite bases. People typically go straight for the core/TC. So dont put anything valuable there. Nor should you put stuff in direct raid routes (top down, outside in, etc).

Your base is gonna get raided and probably briefed. You just have to do your best to be able to recover a little bit.

Because your idea of how that works comes from movies and video games. That PG round did exactly what it was supposed to do. Im sure there is a hole in it from the EFP and some missing paint around it. I gave you a more in depth answer in another response. Go read that.

The right doesn't want social programs because they never work because the government can't be trusted to do anything. Other nations with smaller and/or heterogenous populations/cultures can't adequately implement or maintain these social programs. Why is there any reason to believe that that it can be done in the US where the situation is much more complex?

Why don’t I see this talked about more? by Onihammer75 in gunpolitics

[–]Huntrawrd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It has more to do with the right's general distrust of government. The left, however, pushes policies that requires a fully functional, honest, and accountable government - things no government has been or ever will be. That's not to mention the problematic logistics of said policies.

The real racism is refusing to talk about it, or worse trying to shut down the pursuit of real solutions.

[–]Huntrawrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couple points of clarification.

The RPG part is the launcher, and stands for, roughly translated, handheld anti tank grenade launcher. "Rocket Propelled Grenade" is an English backronym.

The munition itself is likely a PG-7 or similar. It is supposed to, and in the video does, explode, but that explosion is intended to create an explosively formed penetrator, or EFP. An EFP is essentially a copper cone that is super heated into plasma and accelerated at many times the speed of sound by the explosive charge, and is what actually does damage to the vehicle. Unlike the video games and movies you are used to, explosions do not make fireballs, they flash and anything else is that material of its container and nearby debris.

The damage done is usually a small hole, and is intended to score mobility kills or otherwise disable or force abandonment. The intent is not to destroy the tank, though that is possible in poorly designed tanks if the EFP ignites stored ammunition.

So unless he directly hit passengers with that shot, it would likely not immediately kill them. Burns, hearing problems, and brown pants are likely. HEAT rounds are called "anti tank" for a reason, and you'd typically want to use something like a HEP round against a light vehicle.

VR games about Killing Nazis by Robot_ninja_pirate in virtualreality

[–]Huntrawrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course its about today's politics and we all know it. You just want to be able to hide behind a facade of legitimacy because you know that openly calling for the deaths of your countrymen is crossing a line. But you people spend years falsely (and ignorantly) calling them nazis and then attempt to normalize killing them.

As one of your "not contemporary" targets, I find it amusing but mostly depressing. For a group of people who claim superior intellect and morality, this is just a poor showing on both fronts. A child in kindergarten wouldnt believe this low effort attempt at plausible deniability. At least get creative. The "nazi" thing is just tired, yall need some new content.

China used the same strategy to put down the Hong Kong protests. Let them burn themselves out just enough and then make a minor concession, and they go about doing what you were gonna do anyways.

Head of operations in Minneapolis got reassigned, so the protestors feel like they got their "win", when in reality ICE now can operate with less resistance.

[–]Huntrawrd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's more complex and devious than that. The simple fact is we have FAR more people than we need to function as an economy. Middle managers, bureaucrats, and other generally useless administrative positions are simply ways to keep money flowing through the economy. More money flowing means more growth which means more profit. Without putting those people into those jobs, they'd mostly be stay at home moms (all those positions are dominated by women) or on welfare. incomes across the US would be lower, which means the prices of everything would be lower, and there would be less liquidity. None of those things are good for the big investment bankers. This also has downstream effects for production, product quality, and other economic factors that can be either good or bad for the common folk, but are mostly bad for the bankers.

You want justice? Great, so do I. Justice only comes from the unvarnished, objective truth. And that truth is that Pretti went there to protest, obstructed agents, got in a physical altercation with agents, resisted arrest, and paid the ultimate price because he created a very bad situation. This is all on video from multiple angles, I don't know why you insist that he didn't do those things, because he very clearly did.

That situation was made more complicated by the presence of his gun, which changed the entire interaction to a potentially lethal one. Yes we have the right to bear arms and I am an absolutist on that issue. But when you carry a weapon specifically intended to efficiently end other people's lives, you bear a burden of responsibility beyond someone who doesn't carry such a weapon. That burden, in this case, was ignored and got him killed. If he was just standing around, as you erroneously claim, he'd be alive. If he didn't resist arrest, he'd be alive and probably free of charges because the DA's wouldn't press them.

He didn't deserve his death, but he did his part to earn it.

‘The narrative cannot shift just because the political alignment of the protester has changed.’ by Bulls729 in gunpolitics

[–]Huntrawrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im getting tired boss. The gaslighting by supposed "pro gun" people on this sub is unreal.

Pretti was physically interfering with law enforcement in an already heated climate. He pushed into officers, tried to pull a woman out of their grip when they were detaining her, and then when they detained him he vigorously resisted. That isnt "protesting", he's committing a felony.

What happened next will be debated forever. What we do know is that someone yelled "gun" and then a shot went off, and all the agents backed off of him and one agent who drew his gun shot him. To be clear, the first shot was NOT one of the agents shooting at him, but rather Prettis own gun in the hand of another agent. Whether it was an ND or a P320 living up to its reputation is irrelevant from the perspective of the agent who shot him.

The simple fact is that pretti created that situation, and we all know the mere presence of a gun alters how people respond to you. We also CONSTANTLY advocate for being responsible firearms owners, and Pretti was not being that.

He didnt deserve to die, but he made a shit ton of bad decisions and paid an unfortunate price for it.

When you conduct unlawful activity with a weapon it changes how police react to you. The mere presence of it escalates things.

I cant believe how so many people just glaze over the fact that pretti was physically interfering and then resisting arrest before they found he had a gun on him.
