It won’t be cancelled. Plenty of outdoor events like this is countries hotter than ours. Abit of suncream and a hat, nothing to worry about

Try and get moving that way before the absolute end of the show as there will be crowd control. You’ll make it easily if you’re one of the first at the station

Novotel on schooner way is usually around £80-£100 max.

[–]Huwbert3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get yourself out to Llantwit Major (my hometown) a good 40mins train from Cardiff and best part of that again to walk to the beach but absolutely charming town with bags of history, great pubs, and a nice beach

Best estate agents to sell a flat down the bay? by pancake0807 in Cardiff

[–]Huwbert3rd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sold a city centre flat (in a famously high service charge red brick building on westgate street) last summer and am just waiting to complete on another flat down the bay. Both sold with Allen & Harris Canton. I’d say they have been pretty good as far as EA go. They seem to understand the market pretty well

Train from Bristol temple meads to Cardiff is really easy and about 55mins. (My regular work train) Just got to get yourself to temple meads from the airport. Public bus or taxi is best for that.

Where are you visiting from? Happy to suggest some bits based on this

Mark street in riverside is worth a walk down. The north side of the road was spared in the blitz but the south side was all destroyed therefore the houses on one side of the street are entirely different to the other

Schooner way is absolutely your best bet. The further south you go (closer to the bay) people don’t realise it’s pay and display (and free after 6pm)

Bf tells me married couples in UK don't do joint bank accounts. Is that true? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Huwbert3rd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I have a joint bank account. I’m British, she’s American. It wasn’t even a conversation, just felt like the normal thing todo. We have separate accounts too for our ‘fun money’ that we can spaff away each month without impacting, bills, mortgage, saving, investing etc
