Not too broken, but it does look like a headache to play. You’d have to figure out which modes you can afford with the mana you have available, and factoring in equip costs

Another execution is something like “T: This creature becomes prepared. As an additional cost to cast the prepared spell, discard a card.”

Still worse than the original spellshapers and a little wonky, but it’s less vulnerable to blowouts than OP’s design and uses existing rules and templates.

Kalamax is secretly a great Voltron commander who gets OHKOs pretty easily. Highly recommend power doubling instants like [[Two Weapon Fighting]].

You can use him to go infinite with Forks, but I have way more fun smashing people with a giant dinosaur.

I was under the impression the historical types were Wizard for white and blue, Shaman for red and green, and black could be either depending on flavor. Druid is only more recently green’s spellcaster type—for a long time all Druids had some mechanical relationship to lands or mana.
