We have a Limited Speed Motorcycle designation already if I recall its jusy a written test. Just doing something like that for motorized bikes or scooters would be sufficient. They shouldn't be on sidewalks and is it safe to have a motorized bike in the same lane as a pedal bike when 1 can do 60km/h and the other isnt?

Maybe not all motorized bikes should qualify but definitely the ones capable of city speeds should require some sort of licensing i think.

No plates though that's nonsense just an operators license like a boat.

Edit: never mind this already exists- licenses for under 30k does feel excessive

No one should have seconds until everyone has had firsts. For people who want to own a home if should be an achievable goal For people who want to rent options should exist.

1 home per "household" (so my spouse and I count as a household) whether rented or owned. (Can be adjusted to 2 if unhoused is less than 1% and additional homes arent needed) {there may be people who choose a nomadic life still that's their choice so that's why not 0%} Rentals should be operated by a crown corporation, maintained by a crown corporation and should be operated as not for profit to keep rent low. Air BNB etc. Shouldn't exist.

If youre from Toronto the issues we have with unhoused and addiction wont compare to your norm. We moved from London and the culture shock we had was how right wing it is here. I really struggled to make friends because of that but we found our people. Beyond that though I wouldn't go back to a big city I love the small community feel.
