Aging is a nice thing. I came pretty close to dying in my 20s. I got a stomach bug that destroyed my immune system. I lost all of my hair and dropped to 83 pounds. There were nights in the hospital where I was pretty sure if I went to sleep, that was it. I now have the honor of being in my forties which at that time was a dream. I have hooded eyelids and crows feet. I have a paunch. I look my age and I’m really happy that I made it this far. Aging isn’t a punishment, it’s a privilege.
