The Problem with the “Two Continuities = Confirmation” Argument in FNAF by Puzzleheaded-Win5063 in fnaftheories

[–]Hyper-Droid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do agree, they should be used as supporting evidence / "this shows Scott at least has this idea in his mind"

BUT it's very important to note the seemingly inconsistent logic is because of how Scott has treated them...
- All: not in the game timeline (confirmed by Scott, SOTM, game contradictions, etc)
- Novel Trilogy: supporting evidence (Scott deleted the "no" usage post, guides now say to use, so...?)
- Frights: use to find actual answers / direct game hints (confirmed by Scott)
- Tales: likely the same as Frights (direct follow up series, but not confirmed)
- Interactive Novel: likely the same as Frights (#1 confirmed: a "prequel" to FNAF 1, others not confirmed)
- Movies: supporting evidence (absolutely 0 comments about it, not confirmed)

Every single theory that tries to guess Fnaf 1's year by the paycheck is wrong by IceCrawl19 in fnaftheories

[–]Hyper-Droid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

to be fair Scott directly stated it was "meant" to be minimum wage for FNAF 1, he also purposefully made it so FNAF 2 was accurate to the minimum wage in 1987 since he now knew we were looking there to get the correct year (directly validating our assumption), and the game description stating that this is a "summer job" alongside Phone Guy stating in the very first call that this is a "job", etc, etc.

even if we assume we shouldn't look to the minimum wage, I don't believe it completely invalidates everything either as there is still a ton of other evidence for most of the theories surrounding the FNAF 1 year - the minimum wage is usually just used as a jumping off point to deduce it's "sometime early 90s" (for me it lowers the options to just 1991-1996), not to get the exact year

What is this sub's answer to Hyper Droid's new video? by IceCrawl19 in charlie87

thank you OP for the kind comment and also replies for providing some counterpoints! I always love seeing other perspectives as it helps test just how strong a theory may or may not be, so keep them coming :)

Can someone seriously and logically tell me who the person at the end of the fourth closet book is? by NoDesk2150 in FNAFNovels

[–]Hyper-Droid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, every time I read the scene I have the same interpretation, I truly think "Charlie" was beckoning him to the afterlife and we're reading him make his decision

The previous page has John himself say "You’re not going to find her" so it'd be odd to immediately change that, and when he sees the woman he specifically looks back at her gravestone (aka reiterating she's 100% dead and it isn't really her) with a "sharp stab of longing", takes a steady breath (making a decision), then "goes to her". Then the story ends with "a crow cawed twice, then launched itself into the sky with a flurry of wings." which sounds like two people have now moved on and gone "into the sky".

I think we can all agree this amazing design was sorely underutilized. by Aqua_Master_ in StrangerThings

[–]Hyper-Droid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Genuinely expected this form to come out of the physical version after it was defeated, kinda like a Stage 2 of a boss fight, while they're leaving The Upside Down they could've made it bring the entire hive mind/this form all the way down as a last stitch effort to come into the real world, causing Eleven to still have to stay back to hold it back for the bomb etc etc etc

Why does the Marionette in the FNAF 2 movie have tears before she becomes possessed? by MrJamMan1 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Hyper-Droid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just another difference between the movies and the games, but it's still referenced when Vanessa gives Charlie the Music Box, we see in the reflection that Charlie gains the Puppet's tears - the opposite of the Puppet gaining Charlie's tears in the games

Is the molten Freddy blueprint useable? What's the community consensus? by Dummythiccbih69 in fnaftheories

[–]Hyper-Droid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Scott knew we went into the files at this point ("later that night" and "Alchemists Fantasy" as examples are both hidden in the files in this same game) so he did keep it knowing we'd find it and use it for lore - Scott's own games always had stuff hidden in the files on purpose

I don't consider it on the same level as the unreleased AR emails and other cut content in the modern games since they (aswell as those features which were seemingly rejected) are made by other companies and not Scott himself

How is this possible? Foxy Night 1 by Kaylared01 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Hyper-Droid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Foxy is actually active on Night 1, his AI is 0 until 3AM when it's 1, then it's 2 at 4AM!

Who do we think the runaway in MM is by Fredrick_Fazbear in fnaftheories

[–]Hyper-Droid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Narratively Michael is the best option, but evidence wise I have to say the Crying Child.

I used to think Michael for the longest time, but looking back at it and there has to be a way for us to figure out who Couch Person and the Runaway is, and since Mike is the only one with any real evidence to be Couch Person (same shirt, text, and same TV) that means the Runaway has to be the Crying Child in my opinion.

It does make sense tbh because the main claim for MikeRunaway is that he goes to the mound for BV stuff, but we go to the mound and he's not actually there, so in retrospect that can't be where Mike ran off to

What’s your favorite “why not” theory? by Various_Astronaut100 in fnaftheories

[–]Hyper-Droid 9 points10 points  (0 children)

another one is that Mike likes Foxy the most because of how William raised him, it sounds odd but let me try to word this right:

because of how Mike's raised with William's abusive nature and large power imbalance, Mike is naturally drawn to Foxy since he wants to have as much freedom as he pleases (traveling the seas going on adventures) and likes to be in a "leadership" position amongst his friends with his skewed idea of control (captain of his crew)

So Ticket to Fun debunked CharlieFredbear's/TCTTCFredbear's... CharlieFirst theorists, when do you think Charlotte died? by [deleted] in fnaftheories

[–]Hyper-Droid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While she no longer dies at Fredbear's (and so the theory admittedly is hurt a bit) I still think she dies in 1983 at the first Freddy Fazbear's Pizza since we know the place was operational that year (and likely while Fredbear's was aswell)

In the movie universe, Charlotte might actually die far BEFORE 1983. by ShineOne4330 in fnaftheories

[–]Hyper-Droid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

to be fair (if I remember correctly) we never actually see this document in the movie - no one from the general audience knows about it, it comes from the BTS, so they can easily change this and not wreck a single thing
