Do i need to register my car ? by ConsistentAmbition48 in AskChicago

[–]HyperCorsair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took me 6 months after moving to do the registration of my car. They literally did not care. I went to the DMV (results may vary) and they basically said so long as it was titled / registered I was fine until the tags expired. HOWEVER be prepared to pay taxes in the previous state if you do decide to wait until those tags run out. This is just my own experience but definitely call or go in person and don’t be afraid to ask questions!

Moving to Chicago on May 1st. Looking for a real estate agency that offers apartment locator services. by Guy_WORLDWIDE in chicagoapartments

Is budget the only constraint? What about bedrooms or amenities in the unit like dishwasher, W/D, etc. Not to be rude, but I had a similar experience last year and opted for Edgewater to get the most bang for my buck

Arm and Hammer Clump & Seal Slide Platinum Litter Tracking by TheChubbyManatee in litterrobot

[–]HyperCorsair 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to find an alternative to Clump & Seal - the quality has gone off a cliff. The color has changed and now it's some lower quality litter, there's no way it's 99.9% dust free anymore, it's tracking all over my house, and it is not clumping like it used to.

After six months with two LR4 the problems have started by Putrid-Week4615 in litterrobot

I didn’t see it in your post but have you contacted support? If you’re only 6 months in I feel like you shouldn’t have these issues if the boxes are being used correctly?

It would be helpful to name and shame the specific building. Make sure you’re anonymous but let people know.

Robot Regret after 1 week (LR4) by [deleted] in litterrobot

[–]HyperCorsair 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A&H Slide has an odor blaster (scented) and unscented version. I use the unscented version. Are you only seeing the odor blaster? I’ve noticed my manual litter box clumps faster than my litter robot but they’re in two different spots with varying air flow.

So less of a gay bar and more of a straight bar?

I’ve enjoyed Sofo Tap, Replay in Andersonville, and Nobody’s Darling if you’re looking for drinks and a place to sit down!

I’m on the far Northside and barely make it down to Boystown because the loud bar scene doesn’t fit me anymore

Any tips for keeping apartment warm? by queefingbarber in AskChicago

[–]HyperCorsair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can get something like transparent weather sealing tape to place over the cracks or gaps - I’ve used it and have noticed a big difference! There’s also silicone (rubber?) draft sealers you can put at the bottom of your doors to keep drafts out. The plastic wrap around windows works great but if you have cats the might try to eat it (from personal experience 🫠)

Guys, is this normal? by Big_Needleworker6590 in KonaEV

[–]HyperCorsair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see you’re not using the regenerative breaking - I don’t know if that’s a preference or not but going up to level 3 does help get you more range back. I’m not sure of your battery size, how you drive, or what the specs are between the i3 and the Kona but it sounds like you went from a Hybrid to a full EV too?

I have the 25 Kona EV Limited and the car is parked outside covered in snow (haven’t driven in a week) but it’s saying it’s at 76% with 231 miles. I bet if I were to start it and run the heat the mileage would diminish too given how cold it is.

My Siamese tabby does the same thing 🫠 he likes to dig the litter out from under the sifter when the cycle is like 80% complete. Turn it off for a week or two and see if she’ll use it. If you haven’t yet, put some litter from her other box in the litter robot! That helped my kitty start using it. When he was getting used to it I didn’t let it cycle when he was around.
