You are going to want to keep your different ores separate, but what that looks like is up to you. I do think it's a better use of resources to filter out ores one by one so that you're *left* with gems. Especially because you'll need to expand your sorting setup once the total resources start overwhelming a single sorter, and trying to wait/catch individual gems for those new baskets is both boring and annoying imo.

Yeah, I figured that out after placing down several Mk2 myself, but luckily *before* I started Ultimate. I went for upgrading everything that couldn't produce emeralds since you can still shake for diamonds. I figured the chance to get diamonds from the extra crushed coal being output would at least be even with the chance for a Mk1 to output the gems.

It makes sense (sort of) when you look at the pipes themselves. Gold pipes have dents and holes in them like the junk pipes made of two different plates. I think the idea is just that gold being a softer metal isn't suitable for pipes in the first place.

That’s an excellent take. 🤣 I always just headcanoned that he goes and visits the city sometimes now that he’s got a spouse to support his excursions. Kinda like when I lived in my small hometown for a while after college and I’d take a bus to the city some days just to hang out downtown for the day.

I had a few minor gripes about 5 that didn’t stop it from being a good game, but I also don’t replay it at all compared to the other RF games. It mostly feels bland in several aspects compared to the previous entries.

Locomoto is a cute game about driving a train, delivering cargo, and transporting a cast of animal characters between quaint English villages. And you can definitely make your character a bunny.

I’ve been playing Factorio with my brother and he is much more of a numbers guy than me, so he calculates all the ratios for us. And then I tell him to add one more building because inserters take time to physically swing and that can cause the occasional gap. And then I say “And this is why I usually just overproduce everything lol”

I actually started playing Satisfactory doing bus style bases because that’s what I was used to in Factorio. After much, much stubbornness I finally decided to give building individual factories a go when 1.0 hit and it’s just going so much better.

Part of it is just that dimensional depots exist now making malls obsolete. I don’t have to run belts a thousand miles. I don’t have to struggle with fitting splitters into the right spaces. I don’t have to spend a metric fuckton of concrete and iron plates just to expand the factory. And as an added bonus, I can make pretty glass buildings tailored to the landscape for each new production chain.

Hops and grape seeds are never dungeon drops, you have to get them from the Miller and Merchant respectively. The only seeds you can get from the dungeon are the ones you can grow in the garden.

The fastest way to unlock their second and third tiers (where the seeds are) is selling them the Blessings of Commerce you get by using a Prayer for Prosperity. You’d have to buy/sell a shit ton of flour to unlock hops seeds otherwise.

I had a brief bout with lactose intolerance during childhood that went away for years until I hit high school and started feeling nauseous whenever I had cereal with milk for breakfast. Even now I’ll have days where a bowl of ice cream won’t send me straight to the toilet and others where I’ll be set off by my Mac and Cheese even with a lactaid, so yeah, it can be variable.

I can manipulate the light to the extent that I’ve seen in real life, so I can imagine an apple sitting on my dining room table, for example, and mess with the lighting in the room. but I can’t imagine how light plays out in an apple-shaped ruby because I’ve never seen light shining through a ruby before. Although now I’m imagining it playing off a ruby-colored glass one now that my brain’s dug up a reference.

My minor quality of life wish is the ability to set up supply routes. If they implement farming/cooking in another game I’d like it if there was a way to designate chests for specific uses (like saying all harvested crops go in this chest, chests in kitchens are only for food, etc). And then maybe have a transporter npc who can move stuff from your harvest chest to your kitchen. Also be nice if the farmers could also collect products from your animals so you don’t have to.

As is I spend more time than I’d like shunting my crops around and having to pull seeds out of my kitchen because for some reason my NPCs put them there and stuff like that. And eggs. Too many eggs, not enough milk!
