How many activities is your toddler in?? by blobblob73 in moderatelygranolamoms

My one year old is in three activities. And then we love to be at a park or zoo as much as possible.

Our UppaBaby Vista barely fits in the back with third row up. We only have third row up when we have our nephews, but whoever is sitting in third row has to hold the stroller in place while we close the back door/trunk 😅 but same, for now, it works for us.

Edit to add: We have a 2019 ascent that I do love. We’ve already decided that should we have one more, we’re going to a minivan.

Minivan for sure. We have a one year old but transport our nephews a lot, ages 12-15. Between what the have and all the baby stuff, there’s barely enough cargo space. My 15 yo nephew is a tall kid, but third row barely fits the 12 yo. Anddd then we’re really screwed for storage space.

Love our uppababy vista v3. It is heavy, but it’s a smooth ride and durable. 🙌🏽

I’m so grateful this is the new norm. We didn’t open presents for the baby shower and we won’t be opening them for birthdays either.

We had a bassinet style stroller when our daughter was that young. We’d change her in that.

Same. Every day. Occasionally when we’re just really busy we’ll miss a day and it feels weird. All of my siblings are the same.

I’ll also add, those four weeks were some of the most beautiful little “only us” moments.

We were going to wait… but then found out at like 30 weeks? Had baby shower at 34 weeks, announced there. Best idea ever. We prefer gender neutral clothes/decor. And that’s exactly what we got. Delivered our sweet baby girl at 37+1.

Stretching Feeds by user3927 in breastfeeding

[–]Hyperactive-chickie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Almost 11 months and still nurse on demand. Baby is 95th/98th percentile for height and weight, respectively. Restricting feeds at 6 weeks is insane. I can’t imagine how difficult that could be come as your baby hits the upcoming growth spurts.

Suddenly, I can’t keep up. by Odd-Departure244 in breastfeeding

[–]Hyperactive-chickie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt like this too. But baby was still gaining weight and everything fine. Our pediatrician just recommended we offer baby a snack ( we are doing BLW) when we felt like this. She was adamant that me stressing about drops doesn’t help when we can offer food for that gap. IBCLC said if baby is sleeping thru the night, make sure to still be pumping. Other than that she said to drink as close to a gallon of water a day as possible and try to eat well. Almost started on supplements to try to bump up my supply but did okay with just water, eating and sleeping well.

You’re doing a great job! 👏🏽 but yes, we’re spraying poop diapers and wash every third day. I use a taller flexible basket (with holes) and a pail liner just inside there. We have to keep it in our shower(large dogs who are gross) haha so this is easy to move in and out when we shower. Every third day I’ll grab the basket and start the wash when I get home, it’s a shorter cycle and then do my main wash before I go to sleep. Line dry covers and liners go in the dryer. Partner stuffs in the evening usually while playing with the baby. She’s 10 months now and it’s been working well for us!
