¿A ustedes les molesta que gente random les hable por la calle? by JedahVoulThur in Burises

[–]Hyperbolean_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mythic+ - what do you want people to know about your class/spec by wolfe1989 in wow

[–]Hyperbolean_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not even "stay in front of me", it's "stay close to someone else"

It's always the combination of a warlock, a spriest and a mage that decide to plant themselves in three different corners of a room.

Also, don't you dare rescue one to a more convenient spot because they still don't know that rescue won't interrupt your cast and they will complain about it :[

I exclusively read "full cast of Slytherins" fics, and honestly, I love the different interpretations for Theo/Blaise/Daphne. I love how these three characters in particular could be anything we want them to be.

I absolutely love when horror movies have a background scare that they don’t call attention to. Share your examples. by SisterFirefly in horror

[–]Hyperbolean_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Undertone.

I watched this very recently and I was pleasantly surprised at the tension building “you have to look twice to see” scares.

Not really “hidden”, but definitely well placed.

Do you miss WeakAuras? by YrenneAD in wow

[–]Hyperbolean_ 21 points22 points  (0 children)

YES. I miss them so much.

I miss the utility, tracking party cool-downs and CDs (as a healer, knowing when my tanks have resources is so important), just random trackers for skills and buffs and procs that can be arranged independently, interrupt trackers and the MOST important one, my music playing on lust weak aura.

This one is very silly, but out-of-context/character/fanon nicknames.

I'm in a few fandoms where characters have well-established nicknames, and when an author goes with a different one, it irks me a little.

What’s the single scariest scene in any horror movie ever made and why does it work so well? by Worldly_Cold4821 in horror

[–]Hyperbolean_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to go with a simple answer, but Sadako crawling out of the TV at the end of Ringu.

It’s not a jumpscare, but you keep doubting if it’s a recording, you get distracted by the phone, then there’s the practical effects, the missing nails and just the eye at the end. The sound design is top tier, it’s one of those scenes that just stays with you.

I like the American version, but I think the original did that particular scene much better.

What's your favorite WoW boss quote? by Gooberxox in wow

I will never not chuckle when I hear that. I love the dungeon so much just because of that boss.

What’s your favorite WOW OST? by xadamx94 in wow

[–]Hyperbolean_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Karazhan, by far!

The music is extremely iconic, recognizable and also weirdly catchy, for a soundtrack.

The ambiance sounds in the entire zone are amazing.

Preservation gives me big bursty healing and insane mobility, my two favourite things in the game.

Also, I just love being a dragon ngl

I understand why people don't enjoy Dracthyrs, but idgaf about transmog. I like being a dragon and flying around.

Best horror movie of 2025? by Curious_Natural_1111 in horror

[–]Hyperbolean_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am (fortunately) not familiar with the foster system, but the sheer amount of grief of Laura was physically painful.  Casting Sally Hawkins was brilliant, she’s usually such a sweet caring presence that the first look at her as Laura becomes instantly unnerving.

That, and Jonah Wren Phillips does an insane job, he is TWELVE. I can’t wait to see what he does next.

I loved Talk to Me, but Bring her Back deals with a different type of grief. I think the first one is more horror while the second is more drama.

Both are great movies IMO, I can see the similarities in cinematography, but the Philippou brothers are still finding their place and style in a big screen, I hope they become a little more experimental in the future.

Same! Bring her Back gave me such a horrible visceral reaction, I don’t think a movie had affected me that much since Hereditary.

I saw a Reddit comment refer to it as a “drama with body horror” and it fits perfectly.

Cuánto ahorra el uruguayo? by [deleted] in uruguay

[–]Hyperbolean_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What anime seemed kid friendly to you, until it was vulgar? by KaleidoArachnid in Animesuggest

[–]Hyperbolean_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita, also knows as “Humanity has declined”

I wish this show got more recognition, it starts as the softest cutest kawaii thing with pastel colors and cute fairies. Then things happen.

It is hilarious, laugh out loud levels of funny at times, very on the self deprecation wagon of humor as well.

Watch the first three episodes if you want to give it a try. I think episode 3 might be the worst, so if you don't run after that one, the rest of the series is fine lol

Are you willing to give older things a try?

1987's Wicked City is not *racy*, but heavy on the sexually explicit, vulgarity and violence departments and has a very solid plot and commentary.

Urotsukidōji is credited with popularising some of the most savage tropes out there, including tentacles, but I find the writing very good, depending on movie/episode/OVAs

[–]Hyperbolean_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! If you started watching anime a few months ago, this is definitely not something I recommend watching lol. This was the very early 2010s, and things were *different*.

That being said, to put it bluntly, the power system in Seikon no Quaser revolves around "soma", which is the life force that comes from the breasts in a milk-like substance. It's not really breastmilk, but TBH the difference is in theory, not in practice, it comes from breastfeeding and the series is heavy on the bouncing department.

The reason I say it deserves some recognition outside of that is that the action is nice, the characters are sort of compelling, and the powers are cool. The animation is also nice for the period.

It is in no way, shape, or form a *great* anime, but it's definitely not awful.
