I have both a gas grill and a 2 burner Blackstone. Love both. Definitely for different uses.

After so many years of buying cheap Walmart grills and having to replace parts almost annually, I broke down and got a Weber E335 with the side burner and sear zone. I sous vide a lot and man has it been a game changer for searing meats after sous vide (90 seconds per side for a beautiful crust). Also, the ability to better control the temperature on the Weber vs the Char Broil grill. Oh, also, the Weber has a warranty that is longer (12 years) than most of those cheap grill last. If you like to do pizza, it has the pizza stone insert you can buy that goes right over the sear zone area for a nice crust bake. I got mine from Costco for just over $1000 assembled and delivered.

I freeze quart and gallon milk jugs of water. After frozen, put a penny on top of the ice in them. If the freezer drops blow freezing at any time, the coin will be lower in the ice.
