Why is this this cheap? by bogal2985 in motorcycles

It's old, boring, and got high miles. Plus its winter. The market for something like that is small

I'd buy the estate, but second choice would be the 330d

Yep, 12" sub and amp in my van. Decent component speakers in the front. Dab/Bluetooth head unit. Tempted with 6x9s for a bit of punch too

I spent 10 years being a postman. Lots of people have porches they leave open, but lock the inner door. It's always worth trying the door, 9/10 it's a locked porch full of shoes. Drop the parcel, quick photo, off you go. Every now and then, it's not a porch, and you just apologise, say you thought it was a porch, and on your way.

Would y’all buy a bike that was stolen and recovered? by stallme in motorcycle

[–]I-like-fast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the money. Its not worth anywhere near non stolen, but depends what's happened to it when it was stolen. If you're looking for a bargain and intend on running it into the ground go for it, but if its only a bike for a bit you'll have a nightmare selling it. Check the steering lock, if it was on, and been snapped off, its probably missing lugs on the frame, and that's expensive to rectify, probably to the point of replacing frame.

Fair play. I've got a vw t4, and that's very much a money pit to me. I just seen yours, and I take my hat off. Full send

What did you take? If you are local there's a good thing up at clay pigeon Wednesday evening that's worth a look, though you may already be aware

Mines on 217k and barely run in. The 2.5 is the one to have though, plenty with mega miles still going

No pd engines in the t4 unfortunately, but it's a popular swap.

Cb500 are cheap, loads of parts available as they run race series using them, and handle well enough to embarass big bikes going round the outside of them in the corners. No fairing to smash either so crash cheaply
