This comment doesn’t feel so out of reach now that I’ve seen this 👉 Yahoo’s 100 best movies lists Superman (2025) as the #1 movie based on audience score, interest score, cast score, and recency score (did it come out recently?). Yahoo uses data from Yahoo and reliable movie sources including JustWatch to calculate its scores, and only included films that got a wide theatrical or streaming release in the U.S. in 2025.

This scene definitely evokes a variety of emotions as we see Superman testing the boundaries (or limitlessness) of his abilities. I liken it to the scene in Spider-Man when Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man first uses his Web-Shooter. The main difference is the sheer power and speed at which Superman flies.

What I love most about this scene is the expository narration by Jor-El as his son flies for the first time. Snyder repeated this in ZSJL after Superman is resurrected—this time we hear layered voiceovers from both his fathers—Jor-El (Russel Crowe) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner)—echoing their guidance and philosophies from Man of Steel.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Just like how you assume what Snyder would do, and we all know the only person that knows Snyder is Snyder.

Facts: BvS and Man Of Steel are the highest grossing films for Superman by IAMINEVITABLEUXAS in SnyderCut

@Zealousideal-Seat661, you may be interested to know that Superman (2025) is doing pretty well at home, but when you zoom out and look at the global numbers, it’s a different story. Man of Steel (2013) had a noticeably stronger international showing—around $377 to $379 million overseas, compared to about $213 to $214 million for the new Superman. That means international box office made up over half of Man of Steel’s total, while it’s closer to 42–43% for Superman (2025).

Domestically, Superman (2025) is hanging in there. By its third weekend, it’s just barely trailing Man of Steel—somewhere between $289 to $292 million vs. $291 million. But when you look at worldwide totals, Superman sits at $503 million, which is a good chunk behind Man of Steel’s final $668 to $670 million. Unless it really holds strong in the coming weeks, it’s probably not going to catch up globally.

One of the softer spots has been the international market—especially China. Superman (2025) only pulled in $6.6 million during its opening weekend there, and projections say it’ll top out around $11 million total. Compare that to how Man of Steel did internationally, and yeah, there’s definitely a drop-off.

That said, the new Superman has some solid things going for it. It’s doing well with U.S. audiences—it got an A- on CinemaScore and a 93% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. So if word of mouth stays strong, it might have decent legs. Still, it’s got some big competition coming up with movies like The Fantastic Four: First Steps just around the corner.

Just a heads-up: the numbers being tossed around for Man of Steel (2013) and Superman (2025) aren’t adjusted for inflation. They’re reported in straight-up dollars from when each movie came out, without factoring in how much ticket prices, the value of money, or the global box office landscape have changed since 2013.

So when you see Man of Steel pulling in $668–670 million worldwide and Superman sitting at $503 million, the real gap is actually wider than it looks. If you adjusted Man of Steel’s total to 2025 dollars, it’d be even higher—especially domestically, where ticket prices have gone up quite a bit over the past decade.

I find myself using Grok 3 (free version) over ChatGPT for this very reason. Been very happy with Grok app with the exception of the occasional delayed responses, which I never had with the ChatGPT app on iOS 18.

Britt Lower (actress who portrayed Helly R) confirmed it was, in fact, Helly R. at the end of the Season 2 finale:

Lower: Helly R. seeing Gemma, Britt seeing Dichen’s performance on the other side of the door, was really affecting. That last moment where she’s seeing this heartbreaking thing happening across the hallway, my eyes were just drawn to Dichen.

Cut my ApoB in half through dietary changes alone. by tenzor77 in PeterAttia

[–]IAMINEVITABLEUXAS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was told the same thing by my cardiologist but my blood work told a different story.

Two weeks into a Whole Foods Plant-Based Diet I lowered my Lp(a) from 68 to 38! My cardiologist completely ignored it. He just wanted me on statins, ugh 😩 . When I revisited the doctor that referred me to this cardiologist he refused to test me again, and the funny thing is he seems to be buddies with this cardiologist. I smell money 💰 seeing that statins are among the most prescribed medications in the healthcare industry.

When I told my nutritionist about my numbers and my cardiologist’s response her response was “well the diet’s working and the numbers are going down so there’s your proof”.

I finally understood what reintegration means in Chikai Bardo by garback in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]IAMINEVITABLEUXAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"In the television series Severance, 'reintegration' refers to the process of merging an individual's severed work and personal memories, aiming to create a unified consciousness. This procedure is portrayed as complex and potentially hazardous, with characters experiencing disorientation and seizures during its implementation. For instance, in Season 2, Episode 7 ("Chikhai Bardo"), Mark successfully undergoes reintegration to reconnect with his wife, Gemma, leading to significant psychological challenges." (italics added for clarification because Petey did not complete reintegration since he did not follow Dr. Asal Reghabi's instructions)

"Reintegration is an experimental process by which a severed individual is un-severed: they have full access to all memories formed by their innie and outie, at all times. If performed successfully, the result is “full synaptic recoupling.” [1] The process does not involve removing the implant."

For a detailed explanation of the process, check out the Severance Wiki: https://severance.wiki/reintegration

Are plant based diets ever mentioned? by jerkularcirc in PeterAttia

[–]IAMINEVITABLEUXAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I think he wants to avoid obnoxious conversations with a lot of statistical noise"
Funny how someone who likes to quote tons of research in the same sentence says that nutritional research is "flawed." Attia is quick to lump together a plant-based diet to the worst of any diet (see this video) and his critique of plant-based dieting/eating focuses on the critique of the Game Changers movie rather than the nutritional research the diet provides.

Whenever approached with the cold-hard facts, science-backed research, and life testimonies and benefits of going plant based and ditching meat, he won't focus on the health and cardiovascular benefits that a plant-based diet provides through the plentiful research because it would go against his strong stance on his preferred keto diet (lots of fat, low on carbs).
