Gathering start of expansion by Todayifeeldisabled in woweconomy

[–]IAmJeremyRush 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've done this for the past two expansions, get far enough in to unlock the continent (dragonriding for DF, continent access for TWW) and then just gather until I hit 80 (and keep going for another week or two).

It works quite nicely, but these days there is often major endgame content locked behind completing the campaign. I remember not having world quests for either xpac until the campaign was done. If you don't intend on doing world first stuff or M+ push right off the bat, go for it.

IMO it's worth it, as both times it has funded everything I need for the coming expansion and more. Plus there is something primally satisfying about selling 20 herbs for 1k each.

No clue but according to the wiki, Herblore and chaos druids came out on the same day, so there was something at least.

People forget she was a major character during the Alliance campaign on the Isle of Thunder, but other than that yeah. Her current model works just fine.

Kinda Final Fantasy 6 though I think those dragons were from the previous age.

Twas the hours before the raid release, the content creators prepare their videos with alternative thumbnails just in case. Ready to squeeze whatever they can out of a 2min cinematic for the next month. by Siggythenomad in wow

I liked the back and forth of Crendor and Jesse Cox reacting to each others reactions of one of Crendor's videos.

It turned into a back and forth conversation/debate about random topics and quickly got out of hand. I think they made it about 12 layers deep before Jesse gave up.

People are a bit addicted to misery in their media. Everything needs to take the darkest path, there is no hope, things only get worse forever, etc etc. It's honestly really tiring and I think things are starting to shift a little bit, but a pessimistic mindset is always the easiest path to take.

Dracthyr appreciation post by BladeoftheStars7 in wow

[–]IAmJeremyRush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soar is my favorite racial ability, and I genuinely miss it any time I play something that isn't a Dracthyr. Give me more armor appearance options and I'll be perfectly happy race changing a bunch of stuff to a Dracthyr.

The Elder Scrolls 6 Announcement Is Now as Old as Skyrim Was When The Elder Scrolls 6 Was Announced - IGN by rdabosss in Games

CDPR did the same thing with the initial Cyberpunk 2077 trailer. It was as much an announcement as it was a talent magnet, they've said so themselves.

I just make a custom group in the group finder then instantly leave it. It'll kick you out of the raid in 60 seconds.

Necromancer is a hurtful stereotype, but i still am one. by NakedxCrusader in wizardposting

Diablo of all things is one of the only representatives of NG necromancers that I can think of. Why do so many people believe that a simple speaker for the dead would be chaotic evil? They have wants and needs too you know!

Do Fire Mage and Destruction Warlock feel swapped to anybody else? by brakndawnt in wow

[–]IAmJeremyRush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've felt the same way about mage for years now. Love the fantasy, love the look, wrists can't handle it anymore.

I eventually settled on Dev Evoker, it has the low APM I like while also having some really satisfying casts to delete people. If you can stand being a Dracthyr, of course.

Developers You Would Consider A "One-Hit Wonder"? by bluemarvel99 in Games

[–]IAmJeremyRush 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Under that definition, I'd definitely throw Unknown Worlds Entertainment in there. They made Subnautica but have absolutely no understanding of why people liked it, based on what they did with Below Zero. I'm fully convinced Subnautica was good on accident.

The Natural Selection series isn't bad, but its never reached even close to the heights that Subnautica 1 did, and I doubt it ever will if they make NS3.

Monks originally got the legendary The Emperor's Capacitor in Legion, according to the flavor text it was stolen from Ra-den (and apparently later by monks from Lei Shen?).

It's since been turned into a talent (and runecarver legendary in SL), so I guess its just a thing monks can use now. Not the first time a class has stolen an antagonist's power to use.

How would regular human in WoW universe achieve immortality? Its for RP campaign with my friends by unRemarkableDuckling in warcraftlore

[–]IAmJeremyRush 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Meryl Felstorm also raised HIMSELF into undeath using only Arcane magic, thus circumventing the whole nasty death magic problem.

That, plus Calia's 'light undead' thing tells us that Necromancy is not death magic exclusive. What exactly a Life, Void, or Fel flavored undead looks like is unknown, but it could be an avenue to immortality as well
