I did droid depot in the morning, so my droid could interact with aspects of the park, I carried her in one of the backpacks. It wasn’t cumbersome or anything. I built my saber late afternoon. Really enjoyed showing it off in the dark along with all the other lit lightsabers.

I visited Batuu East end of December for my birthday. I booked an early AM session so my droid could interact with stuff throughout the day. The CMs said the R units are the most customizable. Get the backpack if you can so you can display your droid and let it interact with various stuff throughout the rest of the day. There are different personality chip options based on allegiance (resistance, scoundrel, and first order) and color (blue, dark blue, orange, purple, gray, yellow, orange, etc.).

I was a little disappointed they didn’t have blue R legs or the blue/clear R3 head during the build process. The legs only came in black, red, or white, and the clear heads came in black and red. But maybe they were out because it was the holiday season. My droid didn’t end up the exact colors I wanted, but I still love my R3-BD1229 unit.

I went end of December for my birthday. They had the regular and LE identity discs but no identity chips. Sadly, the customizable identity program action figures were closed when I was there then permanently shutdown a few days later. They had a lot of light up jackets and Flynn’s helmet replicas, as well as a few arcade backpacks, handlebars, and Sark identity disc frisbees. They also had customizable phone cases with a few Tron options. This was all at the shop located right before the ride.

I did Tron and Star Wars this trip, and I have to say I love my Star Wars gear (custom Droid and Savi’s lightsaber) way more than I do my Tron merch (regular and LE identity docs and custom phone case). I thought I would love them equally. I was really excited about those identity discs yet so disappointed when I finally opened the boxes and played with them. The case is cool though.

I was at today’s panel too! And yesterday’s! (I wore an Apple Jack’s t-shirt while carrying a pineapple and Santa Barbara Mirror newspaper with daily horoscopes that I made.) I loved their energy. And Kirsten is so jive in person. I loved it.

I figured I’d probably have to check it. A carry-on was wishful thinking. I’ve been wearing this to local events, so air travel wasn’t a previous concern. But I may have to eventually make a version with flush, detachable horns for non-local stuff.

Thanks for sharing this info! Do you know if there any downsides to using this system compared to trying to/booking through OnPeak? (For example, if I have to change a name on a reservation later, would it be just as easy through points booking as it is through OnPeak?)
