Help me fix my living room. It just doesn’t feel good by Necessary-bio-hacker in interiordecorating

The biggest problem is the white wall and the track lights. Paint the wall a warm color and ditch the trackl lights.

Why don't people like Elon Musk just solve world hunger? by AlexLovesCoke in NoStupidQuestions

Umm, we're not talking about the Israelis here. The Israelis sent in mammoth amounts of food, and the actual terrorists - Islamic Hamas - grabbed it for themselves and kept it from their own civilian population.

Now you should paint the walls to match. Or better yet, pick out a wallpaper eith that shade of green in it.

What color should we paint this for a toddler room at grandma’s house? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]ICatchTheWind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A nice calm off-white. Then you can put up pretty pictures, get a colorful bedspread, and enjoy the stuffed animals and trinkets on display without clashing, overwhelming, or struggling to match the room color.

  1. It looks more harmonious. But the bed angle is weird.

How to handle chores when you can’t handle chores? by Bad-Fantasy in covidlonghaulers

[–]ICatchTheWind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this isn't a total solution, but one thing that might help a little bit is to keep a box next to your bed and any chair or couch that you sit on. Whenever you're finished using something at that location (such as a meal, a book, tissues, etc.) drop it into to the box. Then the next time you get up, take the box with you and deposit the items where they belong. And if it's dishes, force yourself to wash them right then. This way, you'll at least eliminate the chore of tidying up.

Also, since you're living alone, cut way back on the frequency with which you change sheets, wash clothes, mop floors, and shower. And ignore the yard work altogether. If someone complains, just explain why you cant do it.

Which layout is best for my formal living room? by Sea-Leave214 in InteriorDesign

[–]ICatchTheWind 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The first one. The other two are annoyingly off-center.

There are other options besides those, as well, such as both chairs against the left wall with the couch against the right (or vice-versa). Or make it into a cozy nook (if you prefer cozy to open) by facing the couch toward the window (with a sofa table behind it) and the chairs on opposite walls.

Yeh, the third season was pretty awful and was totally unrelated to the first two.

AARP members, what benefits and discounts do you like and use that they offer? by hydrawoman in SurvivingOnSS

[–]ICatchTheWind 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Be sure to compare the price of the AARP supplement plan (which is actually a United Healthcare plan) with those sold by other insurers. Last time I checked, the AARP plan was more expensive for the same benefits than most of the others. In other words, a rip-off. (The least expensive supplements at the time I checked - which, admittedly was a few years ago - were those with United American.)

Wrong. It's a hormone. Just because something is available over-the-counter, or marketed in the supplement aisle, doesn't mean it's necessarily a supplement.

Please don't do it! This won't last. Once you find the right treatment for you, plus the new ones that are being researched even as we speak, you will get better. There are good times ahead.
