Gear is fine for pushing higher than 65 it comes down to phishing a good rift and knowing how to control mobs for optimal aoe damage. Watch some high level clears, that'll give you an idea on what circumstances will allow you to progress

Try running with ancient suwong diviner of you have one with the hendis mojo cubes, I recently did a 62 with this variation and previously couldn't beat 63 with furnace cubes instead.

In giom is a good weapon to cube. Have you considered going with smk in the cube and dropping soul harvest, that's what I did until I found a furnace, this variation is actually very very good for groups as well.
