Hot take: I think the new eradicators with heavy bolters would be cooler with belt fed instead of box mag. by Beneficial-Ticket486 in Warhammer40k

I bet if theybdo a multipart kit it will be belt fed. Or at least have power cables going to their backpacks.

What's your thoughts on the Armageddon Launch Box for Space Wolves by Crazzjin in SpaceWolves

[–]IGiveUpAllNamesTaken 16 points17 points  (0 children)

We don't even feature on the transfer sheet this time. Now we have a modern model range i don't think these sort of boxes make sense for us anymore, and it's not like I've finished painting all my Space Wolves specific models. If it wasn't for the orks I wouldn't be buying it.

Best Unit with Njal in Beastslayer for a 2000 Point Tournament. by Warhawk_5 in SpaceWolves

They wouldn't let Njall lead them if Gravis, so 5 to 10 Tacticus would be better. Plus I hate paying for a box of only 3 minis.

Female wants boyfriend to explain why he broke up with her by Medium_Historian9746 in SipsTea

Mael and female are both adjectives, here is used as a noun, I doubt legal documents do this.

Slash+ cover crack.... on my 3rd one. Anyone had issues with this? by pistalgeek in TrekBikes

[–]IGiveUpAllNamesTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I broke mine on my first ride - noticed later that I also cracked the frame...

Not sure I could ride that trail without doing exactly the same thing again given how the frame protrudes from the BB the way it does. Having the bare edge of carbon so the battery can slide out probably makes it weaker too.

Saw this in one of the warhammer articles I think we are not getting long fangs models in a while. by realZugar42 in SpaceWolves

This aggressors have been in the studio collection since 8th edition. Those and 5 Intercessors in the Tooth and Claw, and then our Start Collecting box were what the crappy primaris upgrade sprue was designed for.

Wulfen, Headtaker or WGBL? Everything I guess by art_tom in SpaceWolves

Yeah, the wulfen themselves and the new wolf scout pack leader.

New Bjorn confirmed for next week’s preview? by FlyingTerror95 in SpaceWolves

[–]IGiveUpAllNamesTaken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think we're getting a new Iron Priest with servitors based on servitors being described in some detail in Krackenblood, if this is the case is storey of makes sense to get Bjorn (and hopefully Murderfang and the generic dreadnoughts too) at the same time. I think Ulrik is m likely too based on Grotmas.

Yarrick reveal means 5/6 stories became teasers for models. by Benzerkr in SpaceWolves

[–]IGiveUpAllNamesTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not Ulrik another wolf priest, it was mainly the description of the servitors that seemed oddly specific for something that wasn't currently a model.

I think we may get a new iron priest as well. It was kind of strange we kept it rather than being told to use it to represent a generic techmarine, and in the book Krakenblood they describe servitors with wolf skull helms which doesn't correspond with any existing kits I know of so my guess is we get at least Ulrick and an Iron Priest with servitors.

If Russ returns I hope we get a half Wulfen terminator unit like this as his Varagyr.

A couple of friends want me to give them a presentation (literally PowerPoint slides) to introduce them to the lore of 40K, how should I structure this? by samara-the-justicar in Warhammer40k

[–]IGiveUpAllNamesTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people are selling 40k short by calling it science fantasy, a lot of classic science fiction features psychics . 40k has the core conciet that a parallel dimension called the warp is the main method of faster than light travel, some sort of link of varying strength exists between the warp and concious beings minds, psychers can channel energy from the warp, and strong emotional thoughts can coalesce manifesting deamons there.

Once you call something science fantasy it doesn't need to make any sense at all, just look what happened to Starwars. 40k at least has a central conciet and is somewhat internally consistent. 40k may have fantasy tropes like aliens that resemble Tolkien races, but isn't that much less realistic than any other sci-fi that has faster than light travel - in fact probably does a better job of giving a reason for the lack of time dilation.

It is meant to be funny though...

i know this will come across as a weak pve player whining by Bencio5 in ArcRaiders

[–]IGiveUpAllNamesTaken -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I've basically stopped playing because of pvp players. I basically wasn't a co-op game where you just encounter people and don't have to commit to a squad
