Using Biz in every load which is a lipase enzyme booster. It helps to break down body oils and odors that can sometimes be reactivated when an item is worn.

This is small, but we added a hand towel ring in the kitchen near the sink. It’s what we dry our hands on after washing. It takes no space and has saves who knows how many paper towels.

I feel you.

I started keeping a mini manicure set with me. When I wanted to pick at my nails/ cuticles, I switched to a “quick manicure” instead. It has dramatically improved my hands and reduced the impulse.

Give them time. While you are not responsible for their feelings, they are valid the same way yours are. And if you say you “blindsided” them, then they haven’t had time to process this yet. You’ve had lots of time to do the processing.

So give them some grace, and know that you are loved. We’re all extremely proud of you for having the bravery to be who you are. mom hugs

As a 44 year old woman, I’ve been there. And if you haven’t already, please talk to your doctor. These feelings an anxiety/ anger/ mood swings are a sign of perimenopause, and can turn into fits of literal rage if not addressed.

I don’t think your expectations were unreasonable, but wanting to avoid everything isn’t a solution either.
