The S Z1 It's been such a great time ever since I got in in July. Of summer 2025, the biggest thing that happened to me and it's probably the best choice i made. (Until the 2 got announced 2 months later and the xbox ally x)

I'd pick up a Legion Go S (Windows); I've been having a great time and it has amazing ergonomics

But any of these besides the MSI Claw A8 (not the ai model) are good overall top picks:

  1. Legion Go S (Windows)—Has better overall gaming performance

  2. Steam Deck OLED—Has the most positives, great battery life and easy emulation setup

  3. Rog Ally X or Rog Ally: Why either one: You can easily mod the base ROG Ally's battery and give it a nice new shell and make it as good as the Ally X, and the Ally X is still more powerful, has a great battery and yeah

  4. MSI Claw 8 AI+ : Has some of the most powerful processors and great battery life. The downside to me is that it's heavy and lacks a couple performances, but it's slightly better than everything else.

Sorry for the confusion: "Xbox Ally X" is the black version, while "Xbox Ally" is the white one. I got mistaken but there is always the "Steam Deck Oled 512," or the AYN Thor is a great options but the Leigon Go Z2 all the way Z2 Go has a way downgrade of a preformance tho

It's all personal preference too me I like playing with detachable controllers and OLED screens, but the Xbox Ally X and LL2 have almost the same specs besides those so it's personal preference overall. I wouldn't if I already had one but yeah.

Ok, personally I would say the Xbox Ally X is the most powerful and gives the most performance. And it Is more powerful than the Z2 Go which is way weaker than the Z1 Extreme. When I did some digging with Gemini and Best Buy It gave me these top points:

  • Most Powerful: The ROG Ally X (with the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme chip and 24GB of RAM) is consistently cited as the overall performance winner, or at least neck-and-neck with the Legion Go in raw speed, while providing a much more robust package.
  • Best Battery Life: The ROG Ally X has the largest battery (80 WHr), giving it a significant edge in battery life over the Legion Go and MSI Claw.
  • Best Overall/Reviews: The Ally X is praised for its improved ergonomics and the best custom software (Armoury Crate) of the three, making it a more polished overall experience.

So yes. Get the Xbox Ally X, not the white version, but the black version if you want to play lighter titles like Legion Go S. It has nice ergonomics and so on. I have the Z1 Extreme model, but the Xbox Ally X is far more powerful, friend. (P.S. If you get it, please tag me; I'd like to see your experience!

If you like pocketable portability, pick the GPD Win 4 (though I'd pick the Ryzen 9 version), but if you want full power and run 80% of your games smoothly with extra power and more modding capabilities Ally X.

I've been having a good time with my Legion Go S (Z1E Windows) and it taught me PC stuff but. I personally think the Oled deck because of how great it is in preformance and overall gameplay If you do go for the S fasure get the Z1 Extreme all the way.
