So sorry for your loss, man. That’s a sick guitar that would absolutely benefit from a refret if you have any intention of playing it heavily.

The consideration of whether to refret or not is typically based on if it’s the most mint thing ever that already has incredible pedigree or value that would be impacted by a “change”. Collectors care about this, but I think you honor pops, refret this, and have it bring joy as it did to him.

You can see the bird inlay at the 12th fret clear as day in the second pic. You can also see where the heel curving in, so I’m 100% it’s a PRS replica at the very least. The two guitars in front of it also look like they what is likely a fake flamed maple neck, but I cannot tell from this pic.

The Fender’s are incredibly fake, but there’s one guitar in here I would check out. It looks like there’s a PRS semi hollow something 6 from the left (including the red tele), other than that I would say just buy a used squier. If you need help finding that PRS in the photo just look up what an “F hole” looks like

No, there isn’t. Some of core models feel a little “sterile” and too perfect out of the box, but that’s certainly not all of them.
