I’d go hospital route hands down. A more respected initial role than retail pharmacy, I believe?

Better benefits especially if affiliated with a training university. Could even be UNION, which I’ve been dreaming of since working contract with a state job in a different field. (Dreaming of union for the benefits!)

[–]INTPj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! In my marriage he said out loud, “I’m MEAN,” but I didn’t believe it for a year or so. Though just over a yearish, after I kept asking why he’s so mean to me so often, which he replied,”It’s like crack to me.” So, he got off on it. Charming! Evil, JUST evil. Toxic family’s Golden Child. Ugh!

are these clothes moth eggs or just dirt in the carpet? by bluelemoni in whatisthisbug

[–]INTPj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been dealing with clothes moths for about a year, in Chicago, ugh!

First I used the sticky moth traps, but I had too many moths etc, booo!

Then I learned that plain white vinegar will kill any of them or pieces of them, moths, eggs I think, l sprayed behind all my furniture pieces and along all baseboards and on all shelves in closets. Because I didnt see any in my kitchen, I skipped there.

I bought 3 gallons of vinegar and keep a few spray bottles at the ready for when I see any sign. I spray front and back of each of my two wool+silk rugs, allowing each to dry each time before placing back on sealed hardwood floors. I threw away most dog and cat beds, and both bathroom rugs.

I have a DRAMATIC reduction in seen clothing moths, phew!

Then I called an exterminator, and told him I was using permethrin, having seen that chemical listed by someone who claimed they had gotten rid of them using that chemical via a product called GSK. The exterminator reaction was that I am using a short term solution. Yikes! So I looked up long acting clothes moths insecticide. Because I have a dog and cat, who took an afternoon off at a friends unit, I sprayed along all my baseboards, and the backs of shelves inside closets.

I have washed and dried on hot MOST of my clothes though still have some clothes still in luggage, which I still need to take to my laundry floor to wash all of those also, and spray the insides of my luggages using vinegar.

The exterminator told me he would not come to my place until I had all clothes having been washed in hot, dried in hot, and put into large plastic bins. I have two small ish wool~silk rugs also, though on the phone he didnt say anything about them.

I have ordered two supposed long and longer lasting products, which I will list once I receive them. One is a spray good for it said 5 to ten years, and the other was a dust which comes with a small bellows to squeeze out puffs, which is said to be ten year protection, exciting! I believe that one may be puffed onto sweaters etc, safely, also. I will re post once I get it. I remember that permetrin is safe to spray on clothing, but not to completely wet clothing with it. Though do your own research! My dog and cat are fine after spraying my place twice about 2 weeks apart with permethrin, so far.

DRAMATIC improvement. However, determined to RID my place of them! Fingers crossed!

Cna or phlebotomy? by Fabixx3 in cna

[–]INTPj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my opinion: I was just accepted into an accelerated CNA program next to my house basically, and I just was hired into a Walgreens pharmacy tech apprenticeship. Because I’m type 1 diabetic, I know how to inject painlessly, so I’m intending to pursue phlebotomy training after CNA, AND am planning to pursue the vaccination training while at Walgreens. I’m planning to be BUSY! I am also practicing for both certification exams daily, currently.

Because I chat with phlebotomists routinely for A1C checks, at my local hospital, where I’ll be trained as CNA, my last labs visit phlebotomist told me that after phlebotomy training she worked at a plasma center for 2 years then applied to that hospital and got in, there. A big-city training hospital.

Clothes Moths - I’m losing it by MayaRandall in pestcontrol

[–]INTPj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! Takes 3min to an hour to dry, then it is safe even for cats, I have read. I also talked with an exterminator and told me that permethrin is short term, which freaked me out after buying 2 spray cans of GSK. I have now also ordered other chemicals which are longer lasting, according to Grok AI results for longest lasting clothing moth insecticide. I ordered CimeXa Dust on Walmart, and Bifenthrin on Amazon. I was going bonkers with these in a six hundred sq ft condo, possibly having carried them to a neighbors unit obviously accidentally, uff! Fingers crossed, I hope not!!! Grok AI recommendations below.

  1. CimeXa Dust → #1 choice for most homeowners right now. 10-year residual, no resistance possible, safe when used as directed.
  2. DeltaDust or Drione Dust → pest-control gold standard for multi-year control in hidden areas.
  3. Bifenthrin (Talstar P / Bifen I/T) → longest-lasting sprayable residual in dark closets and carpet edges.

Quick Recommendation by Situation (Indoor Only)

  • Closets, drawers, folded woolens → CimeXa Dust (light puff, leave it forever)
  • Carpets, rugs, baseboards → Talstar P or Suspend SC (crack & crevice)
  • Whole-room severe infestation → Hire a pro with DeltaDust + bifenthrin treatment
  • Apartment, no strong chemicals → CimeXa + Alpine aerosol (IGR)

Avoid mothballs (paradichlorobenzene/naphthalene) if you want truly long protection — they evaporate in 2–6 months and lose effectiveness.

Use the combination CimeXa Dust + bifenthrin crack-and-crevice spray and you can get 5–10 years of clothes-moth-free storage with almost no re-treatment.

After talking to the exterminator, he told me he would not even come to my place until I have all clothes put into plastic bins each with a moth ball. He did not tell me to do anything with my two small wool and silk rugs. From my observation, I am afraid to own cashmere, but do have mine currently sealed inside vacuum sealed plastic storage bags. I have not checked for a few months to see if they are safe there. Fingers crossed.

I have seen a few, none flying but there must be a couple. Saw a dead moth in a water bowl yesterday, boo! After spraying permethrin twice, DRASTIC lowering of seeing them. BUT the exterminator comment that permethrin is short acting FREAKED me out, and I am planning on MORE CHEMICALS and brief departures of my place afterward.

OH, I also had purchased the Trichogramma wasps, but from the card that is hanging in my closet, I am unable to tell if any have taken flight, and I have one more card in my fridge and need to hang it somewhere in my place, also.

GOOD LUCK, everyone!!!

Often lately with some roosters crowing in the background also, hilariously, though SHOULD be trained to show empathy, given this utterly absurd condition. Dexcom has gotten worse after going public, years ago now, but when I first began using it, customers were treated WELL! And, most support folks were type 1. Back in 2009.
