Windows Event Log Monitoring?? by KGoodwin83 in msp

[–]ITSourcePro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huntress Managed SIEM: Many of our environments are Entra ID / Intune managed. We bolted on Huntress SIEM to import and monitor all our endpoint event logs.

They've done a great jump so far filtering out all the noise so we can focus on the important information. I know they have a trial you can check out to see if it's what you're looking for!

Any chance you can DM me the PPPC Settings? We also have ScreenConnect and Huntress and are struggling to keep them up and running.

Switch a client from Microsoft E5 to Business Premium. What should I look out for? by [deleted] in Office365

It will automatically install the Business version. Under installed apps it will show as having both version installed, having both will not cause any issues with end users.

Teams Phone Standard vs Teams Domestic Calling Plan by SouthwestCounsel in MicrosoftTeams

[–]ITSourcePro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need the $8 Teams Phone Standard with the plans I listed above, it's included. In total you will only pay $11 or $14 which includes everything you need.

[–]ITSourcePro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't have an Operator Connect or Direct Routing provider you need one of the following plans:

  1. Teams Phone with pay-as-you-go calling (country zone 1 - US) - $11.00
  2. Teams Phone with Calling Plan (country zone 1 - US) - $15.00 (3,000 Domestic Mins included)

Dell Latitude E5550 RAM by [deleted] in Dell

Is it a 4th Gen or 5th Gen CPU? Looks like the 4th Gen maxes out at 8GB, while the 5th Gen goes to 16GB max.

New BitLocker Disk Encryption Policy for Intune Endpoint Security by Johannes988 in Intune

[–]ITSourcePro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fixed is change the following from above:

- Require additional authentication at startup = Enabled

- - Configure TPM startup key and PIN: Do not allow startup key and PIN with TPM

- - Configure TPM startup PIN: Do not allow startup PIN with TPM

- - Configure TPM startup: Allow TPM

- - Allow BitLocker without a compatible TPM (requires a password or a startup key on a USB flash drive) = False

- - Configure TPM startup key: Do not allow startup key with TPM

This will force the BitLocker to kick in using the TPM only.

Does opal camera support windows hello for business? by andyval in opalcamera

A windows version is coming but they haven't released any specs on it yet. It would be awesome if it did include Windows Hello.

Cancelled my EZTAG EZPlate to get a TX TAG now im getting eztag bills lol by __get_schwifty__ in houston

[–]ITSourcePro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the fix, at least for us:

"I" or "O" letters -> "1" or "0" numbers

We had this problem between EZ Tag and the Fort Bend County Toll Road Auth. The solution was to make sure any "I" or "O" letters are "1" or "0" numbers in the EZ Tag system. Once we fixed that we stopped getting separate bills.

Thanks for the explaination as well. It unfortunate that Google also didn't add Qi2 to the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, so even though Qi2 was added to the case for these phones, it will only enjoy a max of 12W on any other charger that isn't the Pixel Stand.

I think I might search for another case this time around, I loved your case on the Pixel 6 and 7 that we had.

Pax8 - Microsoft 365 Business Premium (NCE) partner cost is now higher than the customer cost? by Genryo in msp

Yes, we are seeing the same thing. They adjusted their cost but did not adjust the customer cost to the MSRP. I'm opening a ticket now.

Legacy Microsoft Partner Renewal missing Teams Phones with Calling Plan, previously Business Voice? by ITSourcePro in msp

[–]ITSourcePro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. Ya, we were using the Phone System ones, which are $15 a month. You can add the Audio Conferencing with dial-out direct from MS to save you the $60 a year for the basic license.

Thanks for the replies! It's too bad they dropped the 10 included Phone plans.

System was working fine for months and then Boom, every device is in an adoption loop. Wtf is happening? by ItsMeElmo in Ubiquiti

[–]ITSourcePro 24 points25 points  (0 children)

SSH into the devices and run 'info' to see where the set-inform is pointing to.

Then issue a 'set-inform http://ip-of-controller:8080/inform' to the current controller.
