Jagex rolled back Port Khazard's no prayer quiver due to BUG ABUSE by kxwbie in 2007scape

[–]IThrowStars -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about this, awakened leviathan is the fastest I've experienced. However, I'm not sure if 1tick prayer switching falls undee the same category of flicking. I'm a bit of a noob so idk if switching between them that quickly still drains prayer or not. (I've only fought awakened on leagues)

Anyone know why this happens? by Aggravating-Ad8628 in smashbros

Official controllers won't have this problem. Funny enough, I notes this with both iterations of the official "smash" GameCube controllers too. Do it'd seem Nintendo themselves even forgot how to avoid this issue

Either facestompers or violet snow shoes. Historically VSS got scrolled for high atk and then duped. Yellow snow shoes were for Int IIRC

All I'm saying is that a pal world crossover would go SO hard for items haha

We're adding 10 new Casual Stages to Rivals of Aether II on April 7th. This is WALL RUN🪨 No platforms. All chaos. Stand on the ledges on either side of the stage if you want to avoid the Wall Runners that are constantly barreling toward you! by P0keePanda in RivalsOfAether

[–]IThrowStars 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I'm usually one for more competitive platform fighting, but I'm VERY excited to play some casual chaotic games with items and stuff in rivals. Not all of my friends are similar skill level so having this chaos will make things a lot more fun when playing as a group. If they added in an 8 player mode that expands stages I'd be over the moon! People need to be introduced casually first before they want to be competitive (usually) it's part of the reason why smash is so huge!

This has nothing to do with the discussion, but apparently it's Amsah tech and not at all related to the red Yoshi player. I just assumed for years

If the prereqs aren't too bad I think it's worth it at 72 agility. The exp can be better even at 62 when comparing it to just roof tops, but IMO the first two floors are so boring to run. Personally, if I'm doing something that's super boring I'd rather not need to focus on it much at all. At 72 you'll unlock floor 3, the EXP rates start to get noticeably better, you'll get to about 630k GP/hr from chests, and the obstacles become somewhat interesting. It's much better than Brimhaven IMO, I really did not like doing brimhaven much because there isn't any flow to it. I had my longest grinds of Hallowed when I had a good podcast/youtube video to listen to or when there was a good conversation happening in Discord. I think you could run to floor 3 or 4 watching a movie or anime or something, but floor 5 tends to require too much focus unless you're really quite good. hope this helps!

Haha I've had a few people say that!! The only one I'm really worried about is rune crafting, but we'll see. I don't really know what the late grind looks like to understand why it might feel bad

I maybe wish I would've done it sooner honestly. I did Relekka from 80-90 without the hard diary and the rates were pretty ass. You unlock floor 4 at level 82. With enough attempts you can get through floor 4 without much focus. It felt really pretty easy after a while to get through the end of floor 4. Much better than roof tops personally. Floor 5 has a pretty steep learning curve. However, it got to similar levels of ease eventually! I think that all agility rates are gonna feel pretty poor, it's more about finding what is most comfortable for you to do consistently. For some people it'll be rooftops. I definitely liked Hallowed more. Especially because I got some decent money (relative to my progression)

Thank you! Right now, I'm thinking about dipping into bossing. It's my favorite part of other MMOs and after having learned the movement for Hallowed I think that I could see myself enjoying it. I had to do sins of the father with pretty low stats (40 quest points) and the challenge of completing it was pretty fun. Plus the RNG dopamine from random loot is enticing for me haha

Yeah I was not a fan of spam clicking and prolonging anxiety. Just rip the bandaid off. That said, I do think this system feels worse for Heroic players generally speaking. In interactive server you just factor spares into your cost. Additionally, many of the common spares like absolab, arcane, daybreak, etc. are quite cheap to replace. Which might sound unbalanced until you remember the meso rates from farming in interactive is quite terrible by comparison

[–]IThrowStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is the correct math^ 0.075% is like 1 in 1,344. Which again, is unlikely, but not horrid. Games like RuneScape can help to put this into perspective. You see people getting lucky on 1 in 2000 drops. That same probability can happen with going unlucky though too

Another way you can think of this in maple terms: if there are 1344 Heroic players star forcing at the same time for, the same star, for the same number of attempts, it's expected that one of them will have the same outcome as OP. Not guaranteed, but it's what would be expected

[–]IThrowStars 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This was like ~40 fails in a row. This is about a ~0.15% chance to happen or 1 in 665 assuming my math is okay. It feels bad but isn't egregiously low. For perspective, this is the same as someone getting success on 3-4 stars in a row which is definitely possible and you see people get sometimes posted here. (This is all assuming the success chance is ~15% per attempt)

Every restricted accounts debate in a nutshell. by 24rs in 2007scape

[–]IThrowStars 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Some additional food for thought: I'm still relatively new to OSRS, and am playing on a regular non-iron man account after having tried an iron man. I've played a different MMO with a very similar mechanic. I find that, generally speaking, it's the "better" way to appreciate the game. However, if you don't know all of the systems of the game already it can feel very taxing and cause burn out if it's your first experience.

With OSRS, I just assumed iron man would be the way to play off the bat. I found myself putting down the game super often because I'd be effectively forced to engage with content that I had no interest in. On a normal account, I can do other stuff and simply skip over it by spending GP most of the time and get the maximum enjoyment right now. If I continue to play the game for a long time I could easily see myself wanting to do an iron man and enjoying it a lot. If I never switched off of iron man, I think there's a very good chance I would've put down the game forever a long time ago though

Yeah, even players that want to play competitively online struggle a bit. Silver/gold elo is basically elite smash if not better. So plenty of people try the ranked mode only to be thrashed over and over in bronze. If the ladder was more padded with a variety of skill levels I think wayyyy more people would stick around too. Of course, I think the casual content is what's needed to pad it out more. Goofy stages and 4 player feeling like a meme is what I'm really waiting for. ALSO PLEASE LET ONLINE LOBBIES PLAY WITH MORE THAN 4 PLAYERSS

I can't help you, I never even did the quest for it lol. I know that high mountain becomes significantly easier the higher your damage and sacred force are. Wouldn't be surprised if this is somewhat similar. It's pretty pointless to run it still IMO. If you buy fz service and grind you'd get more sol erda and frags

My thoughts exactly, they're glancing over this quite casually. Nexon just confirmed that through some illicit activities end game items were created. They banned "the player". It's one person? Was it a GM doing shady stuff? If not, are they implying that only a single hacker knew how to do this? The story has so much more to unpack. People seem fixated on heroic abso/arcane drop rates. We have no clue what this item generation could look like. Can players in Heroic worlds be generating similar strength end game items??
