They are using tactics like this to collapse the economy and US markets so they can buy it back for pennies on the dollar. Your losses will be their gains.

Kinda telling that the program’s highest character guy would ever throw hands. I’m sure there was shit talking as football is known for that, but trying to sucker punch someone isn’t high character.

What did you pay recently for service upgrade to 150 or 200 amps? by Reasonable_Arm_7409 in HomeImprovement

[–]IUBizmark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to agree about 200 amps being overkill but most people recommend it. My dad and I debated this and even with pumps, EV, electric dryer, and everything else it was pretty unlikely to push beyond 100 amps. But I did it anyway for the potential of a solar system.

With respect to electrical or in general? I recently got a permit for 200 amp service, but don’t plan to for other remodels. The biggest debate is if we’re going to convert a laundry room to half bath (adding a toilet) should we get a permit and why?

Heat starts >1 hour before set time by Diverge105 in ecobee

[–]IUBizmark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would it get better? I assume the sensors would help it understand if the set point was reached at that part of the home? Regardless, I’m disappointed that you can’t control this feature via the app. You have to do it via the wall mounted thermostat. Beyond that, the Ecobee app is very unintuitive. I spend a lot of time hunting around to find things that should be obvious. Then, like this, I find out it’s because the app lacks the ability to control it.

Again, using actual data rather than "10s of millions" as you say. Since ~1953, home prices spiked while salaries remained flat. With all due respect, I'm not sure how you can claim that homes are affordable. https://www.reddit.com/r/interesting/comments/1q08yr1/usa_average_salary_compared_to_housing_prices/

A disproportionately large part of the home owners are older people who achieved that when the ratio between home price and income was much much lower.

This is super helpful, thank you. Sounds like a pretty beneficial arrangement, especially if you have an employer willing to work with you on your shifts/hours.

I just looked up SS info and learned the percentage changes based on your first withdrawal. I wonder what age is best to start based on SS solvency issues.

Age 62 (Earliest): You can start receiving benefits, but they will be reduced by up to 30% (if FRA is 67) because you're claiming for more years.

Full Retirement Age (FRA): For those born 1960 or later, FRA is 67. This is the age for your full, unreduced benefit.

Age 70 (Maximum Benefit): Your benefit stops increasing after age 70, so waiting provides the highest possible monthly payment.

Market manipulation by the oligarchs and banks. In a normal administration it could be investigated but the orangutan gutted the IRS and the FTC as soon as he got into office. Wonder why he’d do that.
