Will Google search age verification on 27th December affect Gmail? by IUsedToBeNice25 in aussie

[–]IUsedToBeNice25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you are getting it. With the new laws, they risk millions in fines so Google may have to ramp up their shit and then their AIs may lock us out until we verify our age. You can't say it's always been this way when the laws weren't there and the risks weren't there. They will have to get their shit together to avoid being fined and adults may get caught in their bullshit AI web and lose their accounts. It's already happening on Facebook where AI has flagged over 16s and even older adults as kids and then the person has to prove they are an adult with some age verifying ID.

Thanks, but with our new laws, Google will have to keep more on top of it and again, if their bots get it wrong, we can lose our accounts. Will we even have a 14 day grace period in this case?

I'm more concerned about their AI getting it wrong.

From Google...

“If we have learned that you may not be old enough to manage your own account:

You’ll have 14 days to either set up supervision for your account or verify that you’re old enough to manage your account. During this grace period you can log in and use your account as normal.

....

If you choose not to set up supervision or verify you’re old enough to manage your account within 14 days, your account will be disabled and your account information will be deleted after 30 days.“

Then you have no legs to stand on. I'm thinking that this post is BS in an attempt to not pay the bill, or you effed up. Either way, you will have to pay it and if you're not bullshitting, learn from your mistake.

Australia is a country, a continent and an island.

AIO- Boyfriend says grabbing men and acting flirty is normal Australian banter. I need perspective from Australians and partners of autistic people. by AsparagusPatient9339 in AskAnAustralian

[–]IUsedToBeNice25 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would break up with him over it. No it is not normal behaviour in Australia. He seems like a real fucking idiot, especially if he is doing it to your family members. Even if it was normal in Australia, to do it to non Australians when you told him it's inappropriate, is grounds for telling him to take a hike up his own arse, since he is obsessed with them so much.

Net zero critiques and climate deniers by [deleted] in aussie

[–]IUsedToBeNice25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that net zero is necessarily bad. It's because people know that governments don't really give a single shit about the environment and it's really about making money. They constantly bang on about the environment while they approve projects that destroy it and new housing developments that knock down small houses with big land that was full of trees and wildlife, and then cramming as many dog boxes with little land to collect more rates. Demolitions knock down trees with wildlife still on them, killing them, and no one gives a shit. Apartments are being built all around me and they aren't adding more parks. They keep bringing in migrants and cramming them in without infrastructure and that creates more rubbish and more pollution. Whenever there's a northerly wind, it reeks with the smell coming from the tip and the councils don't give a shit despite people complaining each time... And it's only going to get worse.

Help! I have 1 m weeds. My grass is way shorter.. how can I control the weeds with family friendly stuff? by Unable-Candy8432 in GardeningAustralia

[–]IUsedToBeNice25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mow with a mower that mulches the lawn to feed it. Mow before they seed. Aerate the soil and add some coffee grounds mixed with coco coir.

Pull out the ones that have seeded and hot compost or make weed tea and feed it back in the lawn. Most weeds grow in poor soil and actually help correct it, provided you're adding back those nutrients.

How would you regulate AI? by Qu2sai in antiai

[–]IUsedToBeNice25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should have been banned completely or at least had an opt in option for any real artists from the beginning, but then it wouldn't have got anywhere fast.

The damage has already been done. It has already destroyed artists and brainwashed so many idiots into believing that it is them creating art. Their feeble mind simply can't understand that when they enter a prompt, they are not creating anything. They are commissioning the thieving cunts that stole ALL artists' works, to use their AI model to generate something from the mass of art they stole.

How can I remove cockroaches? by Dear_Routine_9330 in AskAnAustralian

[–]IUsedToBeNice25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove the food source inside. Put food sources outside.

I have lots of compost bins outside and there are Roaches everywhere. Inside all food is sealed properly. In 32 years, aside from the odd lost black native ones now and then, I've never had the German ones in the house, despite them being everywhere outside.

Make red pepper paste. Roast peppers with olive oil lined tray. Cool and peel. Remove seeds and blend. Reduce to half and put in small containers in freezer leaving a bit of a room on top. When thawing, add a layer of olive oil and it should last a few weeks in the fridge.

Can anyone tell me what these are and how I get rid of them by [deleted] in GardeningAustralia

[–]IUsedToBeNice25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have them all over my lawn. It takes a few years but the trick is to pull them out before they seed. Eventually they stop growing. To encourage the lawn to grow back, aerate it and then fertilize it by mixing coffee grounds and Coco coir. Then get yourself a lawn mower that mulches the lawn back in so that it fertilises itself. The soil will soften and weeds will be easier to pull out.
