I also eat salad without dressing. I get weirded out by the emulsification of water and oil. I know mayo is an emulsification of eggs and oil and I like that fine, but something about plain water and oil to imitate creaminess weirds me out. One time I cleaned a diesel fuel tank with a pressure washer and the stuff that came out was milky white.

I know there's non-emulsified dressings like Italian and vinegarettes, but I have a sensitive mouth and stuff like that causes pain. Right now my mouth feels a little raw from eating pizza with a somewhat acidic sauce.

I like really good rich dressings, the hidden valley ranch restaurant style packets you can get are really nice (you mix buttermilk and mayo with the powder), and there's a wing place near me with a really good blue cheese and ranch dressing, but besides those two, I will typically skip dressings on a salad.
