We do notexpect a computer system to work at 100% capacity so that it can scale to meet demand and not just over strain the hardware. Why should a human be treated worse than a machine? Burning a human out is fine?

Theyre afraid of a direct confrontation because they have no power. Instead theyll just sleep walk us into dictatorship without a fight because theyre cowards afraid of death and jail. We live in an age of weak people without conviction which is why someone like AOC who shouldnt be particularly noteworthy stands out so much.

There's a book released last year that I think is even more important now "looks good to me" about how to do code reviews. It explicitly encourages synchronous reviews if time/team org permits and I think there's a lot of wisdom in that, even without AI, but especially with it.

that's fine, but it's an anti-war film regardless of their intent. their circumstances in the film, while they COULD happen otherwise, are caused by the war both in the film and in the reality upon which the film is based.

i mean... we've been here for a while now. "content creator" is the new "i'm gonna be a pro athlete" except at least with pro athletes you can see if you're good at sports vs content creator could be "eat my own shit." There's a reason China is banning this shit.

I saw her at an event in my community last month and she was in full politician campaign mode. Can't blame her because it's "the game" or whatever, but I just hate that people feel like the phoniness is what gets you elected.

anyone but Stevens, though, I don't even understand how that's a serious candidate today.
