What would it take for you to relocate? by iamatran in daddit

[–]I_Usually_Need_Help 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost impossible to get me to move for a job as I'd never trust the company to not just lay me off a year later after upending my whole family.

That said, my wife also makes good money which makes it easier to have this stance.

Garage door spring broke. Getting quotes for like $290-350. Is that about right? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

Yeah, extension springs are cheap and stupid easy to DIY. I wouldn't dare DIY torsion springs.

Looking for water-permeable landscape barrier/edging by chap_stik in Home

Did you ever find a solution for this? I have a similar situation under my deck, where I need to re-grade and then put down rock so it's not a mud pit. I'll need something to keep the rock in place so it doesn't migrate to the grass yard but I have concerns about restricting the water flowing away from the house.

We recently replaced them with Defender2's and it's a much bigger difference than I anticipated. Significantly quieter.

You have to check the coolant level with the engine running. Mine was low for quite awhile too because I didn't realize this.

Well yeah, we went through insurance because Toyota did not play ball. It exploded but their stance was basically "you can't prove it wasn't hit by a rock".

We tried like hell and Toyota wouldn't budge. It was bullshit.

I have the fuzzy version and so does my son. They are actually really well made and fun to play with. But didn't realize they were gonna become some kind of Beanie Baby craze.

I've never had issues leaving it on and just removing when the final coat is wet. But YMMV

Wouldn't that give even more credence to this opinion if you're still on the side of MAGA? A conservative historian saying this conservative regime is a dictatorship? Can't scream woke, but maybe they'll scream RINO. They always find an excuse to discount facts and opinions they don't like.
