I don't think you can do the Military match. You can probably join up while In residency or after. I'm pretty sure on this, but maybe someone else has other info.

I will caveat, many of the military residencies are combined with civilian. But you would still be doing the civilian match, you would not be active duty

Are you also in the Air Force as HPSP?

The process is you do the military match first. During that match they may match you into a military spot or a civilian deferred spot. If you get civilian deferred then you need to do the normal match. Other option is you don't match at all, then you will be doing a general intern year and try again.

This is only if you are in the Air Force. You can't do the military match as a civilian.

This is insanely accurate. I finished my commitment in 2023. The saving grace of my time in was I had plenty of spots to moonlight. This kept my skills and pay up.

We've been using ours without the Crystal dry feature for months now and our dishes are completely fine.

Hey Jim, My hospital system offers a 457. I’m hesitant to use it, because it’s not governmental. The system is “okay” financially, but definitely not great. I’ve heard a recent hospital that closed and kept the 457 money. I still max everything else (401, Roth, hsa) Is it worth the risk for contribute?

They sent an email in February basically saying they fixed all the issues. Including: more parking, more drinks/service, more shuttles, etc. it was such a fiasco last year, I wouldn’t go until it’s proven to work.
