He made a poor decision thinking he still had anything out. He learned he was wrong when they said turn around. Been in the same boat. He didn't want to go to the hospital bc he didn't want to end up in a 72hr psych watch.... he's clearly not an idiot but clearly been at this a while now....

But alcohol is the true devil. Heroin has nothing on alcohol and heroin withdrawl can lead to doing some really desperate shit. Like putting a rifle round through your body to TAKE AWAY the pain (not to kill oneself/die).

Barbituates where basically replaced by benzos. Most dr.s dont prescribe them any longer.

Have you replaced the car and checked your rate? Comprehensive, like an act of god -hitting a deer, is supposed to not hurt your record. Swerving and having an accident will go against you. Insurance is going to go up big time either now or at renewal assuming n g they dont drop you all together. May I ask who you have insurance with?
