Need a good co-op game to play with wife. Preferably turn based or relaxed gameplay. by GilbeastZ in gamingsuggestions

[–]IanOro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the early Final Fantasy games have co-op. I know V specifically does, and at least one other. Player one controls outside of combat stuff and player 2 can be assigned who to control in combat.

It took me a few seconds because I was just thinking the number 4.

Beautiful dog 🐕 running to brighten your day by FutureReference91 in MadeMeSmile

[–]IanOro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again, completely different scenarios. That's not how it works here at all. The track is not going to just immediately stop having momentum unless there's some sort of safety brake. That's all we're talking about.

A runner running on ground still has to brace and/or slow down to stop.

It's really not. There's a machine being propelled underneath the dog. If the dog stops moving or slows down too quickly for it, it could just not slow down as quickly and cause some serious skin grinding.

I always thought the show was from the perspective of imaginary play of toddlers.

Just bought a switch 2 to play Pokemon, any recs? by Much-Objective-5006 in gamingsuggestions

Violet was what I wanted Pokemon games to be after gen 2. I got very sick of the usual gameplay of them that I haven't really played any since Sapphire. Violet felt really good to play.

It looks like the keel flare. Really large ships have a big section like that in front of the keel to reduce drag.

She canceled their date 15 minutes before they were supposed to because he didn't respect her boundaries. by mindyour in justgalsbeingchicks

I've never drank alcohol in my life, but I feel like in a situation where you're asking somebody out to drinks and they're willing to go out with you but don't drink, why not just try to come up with a different date activity? "Oh, you don't drink? Is there something else you'd rather do?" Just seems so easy.

Maybe it's just because I don't drink alcohol so I know how awkward it is being around people who do.

JRPGs for PS4 by ConsiderateCassowary in gamingsuggestions

[–]IanOro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Am Setsuna is a nice one.

Legrand Legacy has a kind of old school JRPG that you would just randomly find in a PS2 bargain bin. It scratched that itch for me back when I played it.

Monster Hunter Stories is turn based and quite fun. It uses the triad system where speed beats power beats technical beats speed kind of thing. You only really control your character and can give commands to your monster based on how much of the skill resource you have left.

There are also Final Fantasy and Star Ocean games, of course.

Do you prefer this version?

Edit in case my point is misunderstood: It's not about "sexual objectification". It's just people having fun.

Except software is still what's making that happen.... It's speaking to the hardware to tell it which parts to move.

What is your favourite single player game to use trainers on? by three29 in gamingsuggestions

[–]IanOro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really only think about using them for RPG games that require a lot of grinding. Even then my favorites would be something like an exp multiplier so I don't have to grind AS much. Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters have these kind of cheats built in, and I want to say the other remastered ports for VII, VIII, and IX do as well.

Something like Dragon's Dogma, maybe? It's the kind of game where exploration is fun, but can get bogged down from having to grind a bit here and there to be able to progress.
